Whencomponentsarereplaceditisnecessarytoensurethetraceabilityofthecomponentsreplaced.
Ifscrewswiththreadlockerareloosened,thesemustbereplacedwithnewscrewswiththreadlocker .
Alternatively,newthreadlockermustbeapplied.
Ifscrewswithcirclipringsareloosened,thesemustbereplacedwithnewones.
Partsthatbecomedamagedduringremovalmustbereplacedwithnewones.
Allboltsmustbetightenedwiththetorquespeciedinthefollowinginstructions.Liquidhigh-strengthand
low-strengthadhesivesareavailable.Afterthetorquespecications,theadhesivetobeused(high-strength
orlow-strength)isindicatedinbrackets.
Fasteningwithhexagonsocketbolts
Hexagonsocketboltsarenotdesignedtowithstandan
excessiveapplicationofforce.Whentighteningorundoing
ahexagonsocketbolt,forceshouldbeappliedtothenut
whereverpossibletoavoiddamagingthebolt.
Tighteningandundoing
Turnthenutusingasocketspanner(onlyuseanopen-end
spannerifthereisinsufcientspace),usingtheAllenkey
simplytostoptheboltturning.
Tighteningandundoingwhennonutispresent
Ifahexagonsocketboltisscreweddirectlyintoathread,
theboltmustbetightenedusingtheAllenkey.
EnsurethattheAllenkeyisofgoodqualityandnotworn.

5.1Cleaning

IMPORTANT!
Dirt,sandandseawatercandamagethebearingsandsteelpartscanrustifthesurfaceisdamaged.
Onlyexposethewheelchairtosandandseawaterforshortperiodsandcleanitaftereverytriptothebeach.
Ifthewheelchairisdirty,wipeoffthedirtassoonaspossiblewithadampclothanddryitcarefully.
1.Removeanyinstalledoptionalequipment(onlyoptionalequipmentwhichdoesnotrequiretools).
2.Wipedowntheindividualpartsusingaclothorsoftbrush,ordinaryhouseholdcleaningagents(pH=6-8)and
warmwater .
3.Rinsethepartswithwarmwater.
4.Thoroughlydrythepartswithadrycloth.
Carpolishandsoftwaxcanbeusedonpaintedmetalsurfacestoremoveabrasionsandrestoregloss.
