Sash Frame - Top, Bottom and Sides
Remove head and sill stop. Record location on back side of stops for
reapplication.

on frame using a at pry bar. Record location
on back side of stops for reapplication.

Remove splines from frame and save for
reuse.
Remove splines from frame using a needle
nose pliers and save for reuse.
Gently pry top and bottom glass stops away
from sash frame.
Remove top and bottom glass stops. Remove
nails from back side of stops. Record location
on back side of stops for reapplication.

Gently pry side glass stops from sash frame.

Remove side glass stops. Remove nails from
back side of stops. Record location on back
side of stops for reapplication.

Drill a 3/32" pilot hole, 1" deep, at each sash frame corner. Install a
4" wood screw into holes 1 1/2" deep.

Pull each sash frame corner inward to release from metal frame.

Clean old sealant from corners. Mark glass spacer locations for reapplication. Remove glass spacers and
save for reuse.

Assemble new sash frame. Fasten corners using nish nailer. Apply 1/4" bead sealant at each corner along metal frame miters.

Position new sash frame. Push to seat sash
into sealant at corners.

Reapply splines, by hand, into kerfs on side
jamb kerfs.

Reapply side stops by pressing onto splines
and fasten using nish nails.

nailer.
