manufacturers’ instructions for ladders and/or scaffolding. Failure to do so may

Unlock and open active sash to midpoint of window.

Lift sash up tight to head jamb.

Rotate bottom of active sash out from sill and frame. Set on clean, dry

work surface.

Rotate sash bottom out from sill and frame. Set on clean dry work

surface.

Remove wood jamb block with a hook tool

and save for reuse. Wood jamb block is blind

nailed from the back side.

Cut off exposed nails and remove debris. Remove stationary sash screws and save for

reuse.

Lift interlock side of sash to clear bottom sash pin from sill block and

slide to center of frame. Re-cut sealant if needed.

Lift sash up tight to head jamb, rotate bottom of stationary sash

towards exterior. Use caution to avoid damaging sill track.

Remove sill block cap and screw and save both for reuse.

Cut sealant between sash and frame with thin

blade putty knife.

Cut silicone using a exible thin blade putty

knife between sash and frame.

Cut sealant using utility knife or thin blade

putty knife between sash and outer sill track.

Cut silicone using utility knife or thin blade

putty knife between sash and outer sill track.

Clean sealant and debris from frame and outer sill track edge.

Apply sealant bead from top back edge of sill track half way up the

frame.

slide tight to side jamb.

Insert replacement sash tight into head track at center of frame and

rotate sash bottom in onto sill track. Use caution to avoid damaging sill

track.

Apply saved keeper on new stationary sash and fasten with saved

screws (from step 12). Dispose of the old stationary sash properly.

Place stationary sash on clean, dry work surface interior side up.

Remove keeper and screws from stationary sash and save for reuse.

Verify sash operation. Repeat steps 21-22 if sash does not operate

correctly.
