FINISHING THE INSTALLATION

4.Placethexture’sbackplate(F)overmountingstrap(B)sothatthetabsinthetopandbottomofmountingstrap(A)lineupwiththe

holesinthetopofbackplate(B).Usetheprovidedscrewdrivertoopenswivel(I).Maneouverthexture’sbodyoutofyourway.Thread

screws(C)intotheholesinthetopandbottomofthexture.Securewiththeprovidedscrewdriver.Positionthexturebackand

securethepositionbyusingthescrewdrivertoclosetheswiveljoint.

5.Installlightbulb(notprovided)inaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donotexceedthemaximumrecommendedwattage.

6.Carefullyslideglassshade(H)oversocket(G).

CLEANING TIPS

Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the

xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above. Remove the old xture from the wall, including

the old mounting strap.

See Figures A, B, and C above.This xture may be installed with the arm on the left (Figure B) or the right (Figure C).

1.Decidewhichdirectionyouwantarm(J)tohang.Ifneeded,usetheprovidedscrewdrivertoopenswiveljoint(I)andchangethe

directionofthearm.Onceadjusted,usethescrewdrivertoretighten.

2.Takethemountingstrapassemblyfromthepartsbag.Mountingstrap(B)containsthreadedholes.Lineuptheholesinthetop

andbottomofbackplate(F)withtheholesinthetabsofmountingstrap(B)andsecuremountingstrap(B)tothejunctionboxwith

mountingscrews(D)andascrewdriver.Tightenthescrewssecurely.

CONNECTING THE WIRES

3.Haveanassistantsupportthexture’sweightwhile

completingthewiring.Refertothewiringdiagrambelowand

attachthexture’swirestothepowersupplywiresfromthe

junctionbox.ConnectHottoHot,NeutraltoNeutral,and

GroundtoGround.Twisttheendsofthewirepairstogether,

andthentwistonawireconnector.Makesurealltwistsarein

thesamedirection.Ifthereisnohousegroundwirecoming

fromthejunctionbox,locategroundscrew(E)onthemounting

bracket/mountingstrapandwrapthexture’sgroundwire

aroundthegroundscrew.Useascrewdrivertotightenthe

topofgroundscrew(E)ontothewiresandintothemounting

bracket/mountingstrap.Tuckthewiresintothejunctionbox.
