1 Installation of SpeedUp Eco Strongboard for Carpet and Synthetics
Fig. 1: Once acclimatised for 2-6 days begin installing
Strongboard. Cut perimeter insulation along the edge of the
support battens.
Fig. 2: Cut the tongue that meets the wall side and lay with an
expansion gap of 10 mm using appropriate wedges.
Fig. 3: Use circular saw (universal blade) and utilise rest pieces
of more than 40 cm at the beginning of the next row.
Fig. 4: In larger rooms (more than 8 m length/width) a
movement joint should be installed which should rest on
support battens.
Fig. 5: The Strongboard panels should be laid in a staggered
pattern, allowing at least 40 cm for each laid panel.
Fig. 6: Join the boards using the tongue and groove.
