1 Installation of SpeedUp Strongboard for Carpets and Synthetics
Fig. 1: Cut SpeedUp perimeter insulation along the support
battens. Install a vapour barrier above the SpeedUp panels if
necessary.
Fig. 2: Once acclimatised for 2-6 days begin installing the
strongboard. Cut off the tongue that meets the wall.
Fig. 3: Keep a 10 mm distance from the wall using wooden
wedges.
Fig. 4: Cut the strongboard with circular saw (universal blade)
and use rest pieces of more than 40 cm at the beginning of
the next row.
Fig. 5: All Strongboard panels must fully cover and lie perfectly
flat on the heat panels. In large rooms - 8m length/width - a
movement joint is necessary. Support with support battens
and cover with transition profile.
Fig. 6: Join the boards using the tongue and groove.

Fig. 7: As the Strongboard system settles the tongue and
groove mechanism click into place.
Fig. 8: With a mallet and a wooden block give a gentle tap to
the short ends.
Fig. 9: Seal the floor immediately after laying and leave to dry
for 24 hours.
Fig. 10: It is possible to lay carpet or a suitable synthetic
product after 24 hours.
