INSTRUCTIONS
The MX-PROX is a unique card reader designed to work exclusively with the Pyronix range of Matrix
®
control panels. Arm
Modes A, B, C and D, or Partitions 1, 2, 3 and 4, may be armed or disarmed depending on how the MX-PCARD
or
MX-TAG
has been programmed:
A card or tag allocated to one partition will arm or disarm Arm Modes A, B, C and D
A card or tag allocated to multiple partitions will arm or disarm Partitions 1, 2, 3 and 4
By presenting a card or tag to the MX-PROX reader, the reader will arm or disarm the panel in the same way as entering
an allocated user code at a remote keypad.
(Each card or tag must be allocated a user code which has been programmed into the control panel).
OPERATION
1. Present the card or tag to the MX-PROX. The card or tag must be within 3cm of the MX-PROX for it to be recognised.
3cm
2. Present the card or tag for 1, 2, 3 or 4 seconds. This period of time represents the Arm Mode or Partition that is to be
armed or disarmed.
3. After waiting for the required time, remove the card or tag, and wait for the confirmation tone. The time taken for the
confirmation tone to sound depends on the entry/exit time programmed into the control panel.
