BEFORE YOU START - TURNING UNIT
Begin by turning system switch to ON
position. You will notice that this will turn
on the clock on the monitor.

Let’s set the system time. Turn to back
to reveal panels as shown below.

SETTING CLOCK
1. Press SET button three times and the SECONDS button will begin to blink. Press the TIME
once and the MINUTES will begin to blink. Use the MODE button to change minutes to current.
2. Press TIME button to move to HOURS. Now use the MODE button to change that to current
hour.
3. Aer getting current hour, press TIME button to move to day of month. Enter todays date.
4. Press TIME to move to MONTH. Use MODe to adjust month to current month
5. Press TIME to move to day of week.
6. Press SET to complete set up

NOTE: You do not need to set alarm at this time. However should you want to do it later, just
return to this section to do so.
1. Press SET button twice times and the HOUR button of the alarm time will begin to blink. Press
the MODE button to adjust the hour to alarm hour you want. Keep in mind the A or P. Make
sure you are in the right HOUR of the day (AM or PM)
2. en press TIME to move to MINUTE. Press MODE button to adjust the minute button
3. Press SET to save and complete.
SETTING ALARM
To activate the alarm function, press MODE button then TIME. Not that you will need to keep
the MODE button rmly pressed while you press the TIME button.

SETTING TIME STAMP
NOTE: If you are going to use the video function, we highly recommend you deal with the time
stamp feature now. e time stamp feature embeds time in the video. is is useful for evi-
dentiary purposes. Should there ever be an incident, the time stamp will show exactly when it
happened!
You can turn the time stamp feature ON or OFF. Your call.
1. Make sure SD card is in DVR
2. Connect USB cable to unit and other end to computer USB port
3. Copy and save the text le from the same section you got this user manual. Save it right below
the DCIM folder (this is called the root section)

4. Double click the time le to open text editor. Change the information to reect current time
and whether you want the time stamp to show.

5. Edit the time and date to reect your current time and date.
As in the example below:
2013(year)/10(month)/15(day of month)(SPACE)11(hour):25(minutes):00(second)(SPACE)Y(YES
for time or enter N for NO TIME STAMP)
6. Once completed, save and exit text editor.
7. Unplug device
8. e next time you turn unit on, the time le should be ‘absorbed’ and your time stamp should be
accurate.
9. At this point we recommend you do a test video and play back to make sure time stamp was cor-
rectly adjusted! If not repeat above process.

RECORDING VIDEO
You will need to remote controller that came with this unit to operate the video function
1. Pres POWER button. Red STANDBY light will turn on and remain steady.
2. Press one of the VIDEO RECORD buttons (with or without motion detection) and release
button.
3. Red light will blink about 3 times and turn o. You are now recording video
4. To turn o, press SAME video button and release. Light will return to STEADY RED
5. Repeat as necessary.

RETRIEVING YOUR FILES
1. REMOVE SD CARD: You can remove micro SD card from unit and stick into the
adapter then to your computer.
Once window opos up, open it to view and manage your les
Please COPY your les to your PC for best playback.
You may go into the folders noted above to view and copy your les.
You may also delete les from these folders.
NOTE: Mac users must empty their trash before disconnecting your watch aer deleting les.

2. CONNECT USB CABLE: Connect included USB cable to unit, then to computer USB
port. is should allow you to nd and open DCIM folder to view and manage les.
Please COPY your les to your PC for best playback.
IMORTANT: Before connecting to your computer, make sure system switch (page 3)
is set to OFF. Your les may not download if switch is not onin OFF position before
connecting.
