Mounting instruction
1
Put the bike on a stand so that the front wheel
has ground clearance. Make sure it is steadily
positioned and will not fall over.
2
Release the brake caliper on each side and let
them hang by the brake hoses.
3
Remove the front wheel by loosening and pull-
ing the shaft out.
4
Remove the front fender.
5
Release the fasteners of the front legs in the lower
triple clamps and upper triple clamps.
6
Pull the fork legs out downwards and fit the Öhlins
fork legs. Fit them to the triple clamps. Do not
tighten until the legs are in correct posistion, see
Note!
7
First tighten the upper triple clamp, then the lower
one, to the correct torque. See the motorcycle’s
Workshop Manual.
CAUTION!
Do not overtighten. The legs may be deformed
and cause malfunction
8
Fit the sleeve with the two fastening screws to
the left lower leg.
9
Fit the brake caliper brackets with the screws
supplied.
NOTE !
The fork legs are to be mounted so that they reach
against the top of the upper triple clamp.

Notes
10
10
Fit the flexible fender bracket by first pressing it
over the lower fork leg.
11
Then open it slightly so it can be slided to the
fork bottom. Bolt it to the brake caliper bracket.
12
Bolt the rear fender brackets to the brake caliper
bracket.
13
Fit the two forward fender brackets with the sup-
plied bolts.
14
Fit the sticker to the fender bracket.

16
Refit the wheel and the front wheel shaft. Do not
tighten yet.
17
Fit the brake calipers on both sides.
18
Lower the motorcycle. Use the brake on the front
wheel and push the front suspension down two
or three times. This will put the fork legs in a
parallell position.
NOTE!
Another way to align the front legs is to rotate
the wheel as fast as possible and bring it to a
sudden stop by braking. This will also bring the
legs to the correct position.

19
Tighten the wheel shaft and shaft clamps so the
fork legs are in a fixed position. See the Work-
shop manual.
NOTE!
Make sure that all bolts are tightened in correct

when the suspension is being compressed.
