Danfoss SpeedUp - Strongboard Carpet is a heating system designed for residential and commercial spaces. It is suitable for use in floors or ceilings facing unheated rooms or the ground. The system consists of a heat panel, composite pipe, support batten, additional insulation, and perimeter insulation. The minimum thermal resistance requirement of DIN EN 1264 is fulfilled. The thermal transmission coefficient U is 0.63 W/m²K. The design load is ≤ 2.0 kN/m², and the point load (≥ 20 cm²) is ≤ 2.0 kN.

Residential spaces, hallways and attic spaces in residential buildings and hotel rooms.
Corresponds to categories A1, A2 and A3 of DIN 1055-3. Oce spaces, hallways in oce
buildings, medical oces, stations and spaces with human occupancy, and commercial
spaces with oor areas up to 50 m² in residential or oce buildings. Corresponds to
categories B1, D1 and D2 of DIN 1055-3.
Requirements & special features
A level, smooth and structurally sound surface is necessary for full surface contact with
the heating elements (elevated requirements according to DIN 18202 Table 3, row 4).
Structural sealing according to DIN 18195 must be placed beneath the oor panel in
case of structures facing the ground, and otherwise on the unnished oor. Supply /
return panels and cut panels (insulation panels or SpeedUp panels) must be glued to
the substrate and to each other. Lay vapour barrier under Strongboard for carpet. Prime
Strongboard for carpet immediately after completion. Observe all installation instruc-
tions and manufacturers instructions.
