DESCRIPTION
e-stant software allow the programming of Esse-ti’s devices.
To verify the software and hardware to be used with each model of
alarm system, please see the table at the following page.
e-stant allows:
- to program, locally (via cable) and remotely (via modem or via SMS),
Esse-ti alarm systems
- to generate QR codes containing programming codes to be sent to the
alarm system via SMS
- to read/write all settings of the alarm system
- to test the alarm system's alarms
- to control the log of events occurred to the alarm system
- to reproduce the alarm system’s voice prompt
- to restore or customize the audio messages locally
- to update the firmware locally
- to set a micro SD card to use for programming, customizing the messages
and updating the firmware of the alarm systems

CONNECTION
Connecting the alarm system
Connect the USB connector of the USB/serial cable 5IU-001 to the USB
port of PC.
Check the correct presence of a new COM port in the “Ports (COM &
LTP)” item of the Windows “Device Manager”.
Connect the USB/serial cable to the serial port of the alarm system using
the connector shown in the following table:

Switch on the alarm system.

Establishing the connection
Start the e-stant software.
Press the
Manage new device
icon on the toolbar or select
New
from the menu
File
.
Select the desired alarm system and press
OK
.

Select
Direct connection Serial/USB
and press
OK
.
Select the port COM to which the alarm system is connected and press
OK
.
The programming window of the alarm system will be displayed.
If the alarm system has the default installer password (“0”) the e-stant software
automatically establishes the connection and the Installer password button (top
right) will change colour from blue to green.
If the alarm system’s password is not the default one:
To establish the connection, in the
Installer password
field enter the
alarm system’s installer password and press
OK
.
The Installer password button will change colour from blue to green.
Disconnecting
At the end of the programming to disconnect from the alarm system:
Close the window.

LOCAL PROGRAMMING
General legend
Programming code buttons:
YES the code can be changed and sent to the alarm system
NO the code cannot be changed and sent
Dark blue the code cannot be changed and sent
Light blue the code has not yet been read
Green the code has been read and the setting in the field is
equivalent to the setting in the alarm system
Orange the code has been read and the setting in the field is
different from the setting in the alarm system
Red it is necessary to enter a setting in the field
Black the code is not present in the connected alarm system.
e-stant buttons:
Smart send it allows to program the alarm system with the settings
entered in the modified fields (fields marked with a light
blue or orange YES button)
Send whole configuration
it allows to program the alarm system with the settings
entered in the fields marked with a YES button
Read configuration of selected parameters
it allows to read the settings of the fields marked with a
YES button
Read whole configuration
it allows to read all the settings of the alarm system.

Menu:
Event it allows to select the type of alarm or call associated
with the stored number
Mode it allows to select the call forwarding mode
User voice call
(for phones or call centers with manual-call
management)
Esse-ti Esse-ti protocol call
(for call centers using Esse-ti protocol or Esse-ti

CLI “Calling Line Identifier” call
(call that does not need to be answered, for call centers
with CLI management)

Telephone number programming for emergency request
E.g. 001122334455: first telephone number for emergency request
001199887766: second telephone number for emergency request
Select the position in the “Phonebook” tab where you want to enter the
first phone number for the emergency request by changing the status
from NO to YES.
Select the type of alarm in the
Event
field:

Periodic automatic test enabling
E.g. 00111222333: telephone number for periodic automatic test
Select the position in the “Phonebook” tab where you want to enter the
phone number for the periodic automatic test by changing the status
from NO to YES.
Select the type of call in the
Event
field:

The programming of the telephone number automatically activates the periodic
automatic test in the “Call” tab.

Relay setting
E.g. relay 1 activated in case of telephone line failure
In the “Device” tab enable the relay 1 by changing the status from NO
to YES.

SD card programming
E.g. set a micro SD card to use for programming and customizing the
messages of the alarm system
Insert the micro SD card in the reader of PC (or in a reader connected to
the PC).
Press the
Manage new device
icon on the toolbar or select
New
from the menu
File

Select the desired alarm system and press
OK
.
Select

Make the desired programming in each tab and, at the end, press
