∙#2 Phillips Screw Driver

heights and around unit openings. Follow

manufacturers’ instructions for ladders and/

or scaffolding. Failure to do so may result in

injury or death.

Follow manufacturers’ instructions for hand

or power tools. Always wear safety glasses.

Failure to do so may result in injury and/or

product damage.

Windows and doors can be heavy. Use safe

lifting techniques and a reasonable number of

people with enough strength to lift, carry and

install window and door products to avoid injury

and/or product damage.

Pivot bottom sash to remove from window frame as shown.

Set bottom sash aside on clean at work surface, exterior side up.

Slide tilt latches inward while tilting sash in 90 degrees.

Lower top sash 6”.

Rotate and hold lock handles toward center

while tilting sash in 90 degrees.

Pivot top sash to remove from window frame as shown.

Unlock window and raise bottom sash 4 inches.

Remove pivot pin(s) and dispose of properly.

Insert new pivot pin(s) into sash, with pivot pin ear to the exterior.

Line up screw holes in sash with pivot pin holes and fasten with two

saved screws.

Remove pivot pin screws and save for reuse.Place top sash on clean at work surface, exterior side down.

Tilt sash up, retracting tilt latches by sliding inward.

Release tilt latches to re-engage sash in frame.

Rotate replacement top sash to engage pivot pins into balance shoes of

exterior channel. Push down until both pivot pins are fully engaged.

Verify sash operation. Repeat steps 11-14 if sash does not

operate correctly.

Close and lock sash.

Rotate bottom sash to engage pivot pins into balance shoes of interior

channel. Push down until both pivot pins are fully engaged.

Tilt sash up, retracting tilt latches by rotating lock handles toward

center, then release lock handles to re-engage sash.
