The FTT system (Free Type Topology) is

also designed to support bus topology wir-

ing. FTT-10 transceivers can be located at

any point along the network wiring. High ca-

pability simplifies system installation and

makes it easy to add nodes should the sys-

tem need to be expanded.

For the ECL 2000 the TP/XF-78 transceiver

is available as a lower price solution.

Limitations:

Maximum total cable length FTT 10-A:

2700 m.

Maximum total cable length TP/XF-78:

1400 m.

Maximum length of cable from “bus” to

equipment 3 m.

Requires 2 and only 2 terminators, con-

nected at the ends of the bus.

If the cable length exceeds 2700 m (FTT

10-A) / 1400 m (TP-XF-78), a physical re-

peater (maximum one) or a logical router

has to be connected every 2700/1400 me-

ters of the cable.

What do I need?

• 2 network terminators

If bindings between ECL 2000/Comfort, Heat Meter, etc. are desired or visualisation possibili-

ties of data from the network:

• PC (Laptop)

• Interface between LON network and the PC

• Binding tool

• Visualisation software incl. Drivers
