INSTALLATION - ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Preliminary information for installing the hood
Expansion plugs are provided to secure the hood to most types of ceilings.
However, a qualified technician is needed to make sure that the plugs are suitable for your ceiling. The ceiling must be strong
enough to take the weight of the hood.
Disconnect the power supply at the home main switch during electrical connections. If fitted, remove the grease filters and,
if provided, the carbon filter.
For Filter Version ONLY:
Operations to be performed in the motor bay/box:
Remove the lampholder bracket B by unscrewing the 4 screws that fix it to the hood. Fig. 1.1.
If not fitted, fit the two grilles C to the carbon filter support D with 4 screws each. Fig. 1. 2.
If fitted, remove the control panel adjustment screw E inside the motor bay G.
Insert the carbon filter support D inside the motor bay F and secure it with 6 screws. Fig. 1.2.
Screw down the control panel adjustment screw E.
Refit the lampholder bracket B.
Operations to be performed in the top section of the truss
Fix the collarH to the deflector I, then fix this assembly to the truss L with 4 screws. Fig.1.3.
Fit the deflector collar with an outlet duct long enough to reach the connection collar on the top of the hood (outlet duct and
clamps are not supplied).
For all versions:
1. Adjust the extension of the truss, as the final distance from the cooktop depends on this: it must be at least 60 cm from
electric cooktops and 65 cm from gas or mixed cooktops.
Use the following formula, see also Fig. 2.1:
a= b-(c+d) whereby:
c= height of hood from floor (cooktop plus, MINIMUM, 60 cm or 65 cm distance from cooktop, depending on type).
d= height of hood body
b= height from floor to ceiling
a= truss extension
2. Fix the two sections of the truss using 8 screws. Fig. 2.2.
3. Place the ceiling hole diagram directly above the cooktop (the centre of the diagram must match the centre of the
cooktop and the edges must be parallel to the sides of the cooktop - the side of the diagram with the wording FRONT
corresponds to the control panel side). Prepare the electrical connection. Fig. 2.3.
4. Drill as shown (4 holes for 4 rawlplugs). Fig. 2.3.
5.
For Extractor Version ONLY
: drill an opening in the ceiling for the fumes exhaust system, fit an exhaust duct long
enough to reach the connection collar on the top of the hood (exhaust duct and clamps are not provided). Fig. 2.3.
6. Fix the truss to the ceiling with 4 screws. Fig. 2.3.
7. Position the motor boxG against the trussL and then pass the electrical system box M through the slot (Fig. 2.3), fix the
motor box to the truss with 4 screws and washers. Fig. 3.
8. Connect the other end of the exhaust duct to the connection collar N (Fig. 2.3). Carry out the electrical connection to
the mains power supply, only turn on the power supply once assembly is completed.
9. Fix the electrical system box M to the truss with two screws. Fig. 3.
10. Carry out the electrical connection of the lamps. Fig. 4.1.
11. Position the control panel O in the support bracket, check that the top of the control panel is “flush” with the top edge
of the bracket. Fig. 4 - 4.2 - 4.3.
12. Insert the top ductP with the grille section at the top and secure it to the truss with 2 screws. Fig. 5.
13. Insert the bottom duct Q in line with the position of the controls and secure to the motor box with 2 screws. Fig. 5.
14. Position the control panel on the duct using screw E (Fig. 4.3) located inside the motor box. Move the control panel
around manually to align it properly.
15. Insert the rubber gasket R on the lower edge of the flue and cut it to the right size. Fig. 5.
16. Fix the casing S with 4 M6x20 screws and bushings (the latter only for glass casings). Fig. 6.
17. For Filter Version only: fit the carbon filters (two carbon filters are required). Fig. 6.1.
18. Fit the grille T on the hood using knob U. Fig. 6.
Connect the hood to the power supply and check for correct hood and remote control operation.
