3M Scotchgard™ Surface Protection Film 2200

This versatile surface protection film offers two application methods, dry and wet, to suit various surfaces and conditions. For dry application, simply clean the surface with 70% isopropyl alcohol and apply the film with the provided squeegee. For wet application, prepare a detergent-water solution and spray it on both the surface and the film's adhesive side before applying.

Place the lm (with exposed adhesive facing
down) on the desired area and press down
on the lm.

If lm is in the correct position, remove and
discard the 2 inch liner strip. If not, return
to Step 4.

Peel back approximately 2 inches
of the liner.

Clean surface by using a dampened paper towel
with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol Solution (IPA).

The liner for the 4’ x 4’ and 2’ x 2’ lm is
pre-cut. If installing the 1’ x 1’ lm skip to

Fold over either side of the unapplied lm and
peel back the liner approximately 12 inches.
From the center out in both directions, apply the
lm with the 3M Gold or Blue squeegee (PA-1)
using light pressure and overlapping strokes.

Use the 3M Blue or Gold squeegee (PA-1) to
apply pressure to the 2 inch exposed lm in
both directions from the center out.

Place the lm (with exposed adhesive facing
down) on the desired wetted surface and
position the lm.

1) From the center out in both directions,
apply the lm with the 3M Gold or Blue
squeegee (PA-1) using light pressure
and overlapping strokes.
2) Remove any detergent-water solution
from the surface and surrounding
areas of the lm with a paper towel,
then repeat 1) using rm pressure and
overlapping strokes.
3) Wipe dry the entire surface.

While removing the liner, spray the exposed
adhesive with the detergent-water solution.
