Installation Guidelines :
Install compacted aggregate base. Consult your paver supplier for proper width and
depth for the specific paver application. Wearing protective eye-wear is recommended
when installing ProFlex Paver Edging.
Determine proper positioning for the edging. ProFlex Paver Edging is ready to use for
straight sections, or clip spines where needed to make the edging flexible. The edging
should be installed directly on top of compacted aggregate base prior to screeding sand
and setting pavers.
Diagram 1 illustrates an installation with the anchoring tabs underneath the pavers.
Diagram 2 illustrates an installation with the anchoring tabs adjacent to the edge of the
pavers. Either is acceptable, however; Diagram 2 is more widely used.
A minimum of (4) ProFlex anchoring spikes per 6 ft. piece of edging are
recommended, but any landscape spike with a 3/8” maximum diameter will be suitable.
Secure edging by driving anchoring spikes at a slight angle through tabs into compacted
base. Position spikes at each end of the edging and a minimum of every 18” apart.
Backfill perimeter with topsoil. Seed, sod or install groundcover, as specified. ProFlex
Edging should not be visible after installation.
