DESCRIPTION AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Description
Intercom View, call and message management software for IP360 or XIP video entry systems.
Minimum system requirements
Microsoft Windows 10 Version 1809 10.0.17763
Compatible sound card and related audio equipment (speakers or headphones, and microphone)
System with ETI/SER v3
Webcam (for video forwarding)
Communication ports:
- 80TCP port for ETI/SER application servers;
- UDP 5060 port in Tx (SIP) and random source ports for VoIP.
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AND SET-UP
Installation
Download the most recent version of the Intercom View software from www.came.com or ask your trusted local technician.
Launch the software installation and follow the instructions that appear in the dialogue window.

When the procedure is complete, a quick-launch shortcut is created on your desktop.
Set-up
The first time the program is run, the settings window will show.
Press the [Network] button to set the network parameters.
Enter the IP address and server port.

Enter the username and password.

Press the [Log in] button to launch the program.
The main window shows.
Press the [Settings] button to configure devices, calls or other parameters.

Press the [Devices] button to view and set local audio and video devices available on your computer.
Select the audio and video sources that will be used by the application from the lists.

Then press the [Save] button.
Press the [Tones] button to view and edit the list of tones (calls, notifications, errors).
Select the tone from those used by the program

and press the button to listen to it.
Press the button to view the list of available sounds to pair with the selected event.
Then press the [Save] button.

Press the [Local camera] button to view and edit the local camera settings.
Select the quality and video resolution from the lists of those available in the program.

Then press the [Save] button.
Press the [Codec] button to view the audio and video codec used by the system.
Then press the [Save] button.

Press the [Call] button to view and edit the maximum number of concurrent incoming calls.
Set the maximum number of concurrent incoming calls from the list.

If only one incoming line is set, only one incoming call can be managed. For the second incoming call, the line will be busy.
When there is an incoming call, the porter can still make another call.
The standard software has a maximum of 2 active lines. The number of lines can be increased to 5 by purchasing a premium licence (840XC-0360).
Then press the [Save] button.
Press the [Language] button to select the desired language from the available options.

Then press the [Save] button.
To apply all settings for the selected language, close and reopen Intercom View.

Press [Diagnostics] to set the level of the saved logs.
The default value is set to [Warn].

Then press the [Save] button.
Press the [Porter group] button to open the porter group (one or more registered porters) for a system.
Porters are assigned to groups when configuring the video entry system.
Porters in the same group receive the same incoming calls.
Press [Porter group] again to exit the group.

Press the [Divert] button to receive all calls coming from entry panels in a system.
Press the [Divert] button again to disable the function.

VIEWING AND SEARCHING MODE
Favourites
The [Favourites] button allows the porter to view
a customised group of the most important devices.

To add a device to the list of Favourites, go to the
system list and select the icon next to the device
you want to add.
To remove favourites from the list, select the icon
again.
System
The [System] button allows the porter to view
system components and branches.

During programming, the installer decides which
system branches can be displayed by the porter.
Double click on the device name to explore the next
branch in the system.

Entry panels and video cameras
The [Entry panels and video cameras]
button allows the porter to access the entry panels and
local cameras in the system.

Search
The search box

allows the porter to quickly search
for a device, porter or server from those listed under
Favourites, System or Entry Panels.
Enter one or more letters of the name you want to
search for to filter the list of devices and show only
matching results.

Message centre
Calls and messages
The button allows the porter to view a list of all calls and messages in
chronological order.

Press the icon to display the event details under the corresponding tab:
- if the event is an outgoing message, you will be taken to the outgoing messages
tab

- if the event is an incoming message, you will be taken to the incoming messages
tab
- if the event is a call, you will be taken to the calls tab , showing a window to
call back the selected device directly.
Panic calls
The button allows the porter to view a list of all panic calls.

The call to the porter shows the name of the caller (from an entry panel or internal
receiver) and has priority over other incoming calls.

Alarm calls
The button allows the porter to view a list of all alarm calls.

Received calls
The button allows the porter to view a list of all calls received in chronological
order.

By selecting a device, a window opens giving you the option to [Call back] and
[Message].

Press the [Call back] button to call the selected device back.

Press the [Message] button to display the create text message window with a period of validity.
Once you have written the message, press [Send].
Sent messages
The button allows the porter to view a list of all messages sent to the devices in
chronological order.
Select the message to open a summary screen (subject, body text, delivery
information for all recipients).

The button allows the porter to view a list of all messages received by the
devices in chronological order.
Select the subject or body text to open the summary screen (subject and body).

Searching for devices with auxiliary commands
The button allows the porter to view a list of devices associated with auxiliary
commands.
Enter one or more letters in the search box to search for a device quickly.

Press the button associated with the device to open a window with one or more
auxiliary commands.

Command buttons
Command buttons allow the porter to:
- make a call;
- send a message;
- activate an electric lock;
- forward a call;
- view a camera video;
- perform one or more auxiliary commands (lights, entry, other)
Select a device to enable one or more available commands.

Calling a device
Select the device to call from the relevant list (System or Favourites).

Press the [Call] button.
Once a connection has been established, a dialogue window shows.

Answering a call
For incoming calls from an entry panel (EAST entrance) with a video camera, a preview of the incoming image is shown. At this stage, audio is not yet active.

To answer and enable audio with the caller, press the [Answer] button.

Opening the door
With communication to the entry panel (EAST entrance) active, press the [Open door] button to open the door (activate the electric lock) paired with it.

Auxiliary commands
If programmed, the [Aux 1] and [Aux 2] buttons allow you to perform additional actions (activate electric locks, turn on lights, etc.).

The [Aux 2] button can also be used to activate a visual message on internal receivers (with video), to inform the user that the porter wants to be called back.
To send the notification, select the desired user.
