CAUTION: To avoid potential shock or other injury, turn power switch OFF and
disconnect charger before conducting any assembly or maintenance procedures. Failure to
follow these steps in the correct order may cause irreparable damage.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove nine (9) screws from
the bottom of the deck.
Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, remove two (2) hex
screws. One on each side of the deck.

Remove the plastic cover from the unit. Locate and
disconnect the throttle wire from the controller.
Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, remove two (2) hex screws
and pull the bracket out of the frame.
Remove the grommet from the metal bracket. Push the
throttle wire inside the opening.
Remove the controller cover to access the wires.
Remove the grommet at the back of the tray.

Disconnect the three (3) wires from the back of the unit.
Disconnect the rest of the wires from controller. Remove
and replace with new unit.
Push down on the power switch and slide the battery
tray out of the deck.
Line up the wires and slide battery tray back inside the
frame. Reposition the grommet at the back of the tray.

Reconnect all connectors.
NOTE: There is one connector that is empty.
Using a small flat screwdriver remove the grommet inside
the opening of the deck
Place bracket back on the unit and pull the throttle wire
through the opening on the bracket.
Unfold the unit and using a pair of long needle nose
pliers remove the spring from the folding mechanism pin.

Using a small flat screwdriver remove the C-ring from
the folding mechanism pin and slide the pin out from the
frame.

Using a 3 mm Allen wrench, remove the set screw at the
back of the folding knob while holding the knob.

Insert a flat screwdriver between the handle and grip
and apply a few drops of WD40® or soapy water to help
remove the grip.
Using a flat screwdriver remove the grommet from
the T-tube and slide throttle cable off the handlebar
assembly, reverse steps for installation.

Using a 5 mm Allen wrench, loosen the bolt from the collar
clamp and remove the stem from the fork.
Using a 3 mm Allen wrench, loosen the set screw from the
throttle and slide throttle away from the grip.

Reverse the steps.
