NOTE: The change code can be identified by the fifth and
sixth digits reading from left to right on the unit’s
serial tag.
1. Disconnect or shut off water, CO
2
and power supply to the
CEV and to the external carbonator.
2. Drain the water from the water bath.
3. Remove the merchandiser, bonnet wrap and bonnet rear
panel. Place all plastic parts and fasteners in a safe area
until needed for reassembly.
4. Remove the light kit if unit has this option. To remove light
kit from unit, disconnect power leads coming from elec-
tronic control box, remove the two screws that fasten each
side panel to the refrigeration deck. Then remove refrig-
eration deck. Place all parts and fasteners in a safe area
until needed for reassembly.
5. Disconnect and remove the Stainless Steal “U” fitting that
is attached to the carbonated water coil. (See Fig. 1A)
6. Disconnect the carbonated water inlet line from the car-
bonated water coil. (See Fig. 1B)
7. Remove tubing restraint bracket from unit. (See Fig. 2)
Place the restraint bracket, and fasteners in a safe area
until needed for reassembly. Remove current carbonated
water coil from unit.
8. Install new replacement carbonated water coil in unit.
9. Reassemble tubing restraint bracket in unit and make sure
bracket is firmly pressed against tubing. Make sure screws

are tight so bracket does not become loose.
10. Place one end of the 40" long flexible tubing, included in the
kit, over the replacement coil barbed fitting that is in the
back right hand side of the unit. Secure the tubing by plac-
ing tubing clamp over loose end of tubing and crimping clamp
where tubing is over barbed fitting. (See Fig. 3A and 5)
11. Attach the swivel nut-fitting end of the 16" flexible tubing,
included in the kit, to the threaded fitting and use the black
nylon washer between the union to prevent leaks. (Washer
provided in kit) (See Fig. 3B & Fig. 4)
12. Place tubing clamp over loose end of the 16" flexible tube
assembly. Then place the end of tube over barbed fitting.
Crimp the tubing clamp to secure the connection.
(See Fig. 3B & Fig. 5)
13. Reassemble refrigeration deck to unit. Make all neces-
sary connections to electronic control box (all wiring con-
nections). Refill ice bank tub to proper water level.
14. Reconnect or turn on water and CO
2
supplies to unit and
carbonator. Check for leaks and if none are present reas-
semble rear panel, bonnet wrap and merchandiser to unit.
15. Reconnect power supply and unit is ready to place in op-
eration (unit must be allowed to build ice bank before cooled
beverage can be dispensed).
