OVERVIEW
The Waypoints & Routes app allows you to add, edit and delete waypoints and routes. It also lets
you navigate to a waypoint and navigate a route.
All available waypoints and routes can be managed from the Waypoints & Routes app. Waypoints
and routes created using this app are visible in the Chart app, and vice versa.

¼Note: You can import waypoints and routes into the app from a microSD card or USB storage
device.
¼Note: Saved waypoints and routes synchronize with the Simrad companion mobile app when the
same account is used on the unit and mobile app. An active internet connection is required.

WAYPOINTS
A waypoint is a point of reference that marks a location for navigation. From the Waypoints tab
you can create and manage waypoints.
Create a waypoint
Select New waypoints to create a waypoint. Position the waypoint by panning the chart (A) or
entering a location. To enter a location select the Coordinate system you want to use (B), enter
the location details on the number pad (C)., and select Next (D) when you are done.
Your saved waypoint marker shows on the screen (E) and if necessary, you can adjust the
waypoint name, coordinates, marker color and icon from the waypoint details panel (F).

Edit a waypoint
You can edit a waypoint’s attributes by selecting the waypoint (1), selecting See details (2) and
then selecting Edit (3).

Delete a waypoint
To delete a waypoint, swipe the waypoint to the right then select the red delete button.
Alternatively, select the waypoint (1), select the waypoint options button (2), and then select
Delete (3).

Delete all waypoints
To delete all waypoints, select the list options button (1) and then Delete all (2).

Filter and sort waypoints
Waypoints can be ltered by text, date, icon or color. Select Filters (1), then select the lter to apply.

You can sort waypoints alphabetically, by proximity or by creation date. Select the list options
button (1), then select Sort waypoints by (2).

Export waypoints
To export a waypoint, select the waypoint (1), select the waypoint options button (2) and then
select Export (3). Follow the on-screen prompts to export the le.

To export all waypoints, select the list options button (1) and then Export all (2).

Import waypoints
To import waypoints from a microSD card or USB storage device, select Import waypoints (1) if
your waypoints list is empty.
Alternatively, select New waypoints (2) and then Import (3).

ROUTES
A route is a series of two or more routepoints used to navigate from one point to another.
Create a route
To create a route, select the Routes tab and select Add route (1).
When the Chart app opens, select and hold locations (2, 3, 4, 5) on the chart in a sequence to
create a series of routepoints. Select Finish when you are done.

Autoroute a leg
You can let the system create an autoroute for each route leg. The system takes into
consideration your vessel’s settings and chart information to determine the autoroute.
¼Note: You are responsible for checking the autoroute suggested by the system is safe. There
could be an error in the chart data (depth, obstacles, other vessels, tides, or the height of objects
like bridges or cables) and there can be errors in your vessel’s settings, speed or current ballast.
To autoroute a leg, select the leg in the list and then the autoroute button (1). The system
automatically suggests a new route for the leg (A).

You can also use a waypoint as a starting point for creating a route and autorouting a leg.
Select the waypoint (1), select the options button (2), select Plan route (3), then select Autoroute.
The system starts navigating to the waypoint. Select Finish to stop the navigation.

Edit a route
You can edit a selected route by selecting See details (2) and then selecting Edit (3).

Delete a route
To delete a route, swipe the waypoint to the right then select the red delete button. Alternatively,
select the waypoint (1), select the route options button (2), and then select Delete (3).

Filter and sort routes
Routes can be ltered by text or date.

You can also sort routes alphabetically, by creation date or by proximity. Select the list options
button (1), then select Sort routes by (2).
