Instructions for use
Charging the battery
Connect one end of the micro USB charge cable to the Micro USB charge port (7) on the Miami
and connect the other end to your PC or USB mains adaptor. The battery will start charging.
It takes up to 3 hours to fully charge the battery
Whilst charging, the LED indicator (9) will be solid red
When fully charged, the LED indicator (9) will turn solid green
Battery protection mode
To keep the rechargeable battery in good condition, please discharge and recharge speaker
every 3 months, especially if you are not using the speaker for long periods of time.

Getting started
To turn the Miami on, slide the On/O switch (8) to the ‘On’ position
To turn the Miami o, slide the On/O switch (8) to the ‘O’ position
Please ensure the rubber feet are free from dirt to prevent the speaker moving/vibrating when
playing music. If the feet need cleaning, simply wipe them with a damp cloth.
Dierent modes
When you rst turn the Miami on, it will automatically go into pairing mode and the LED
indicator (9) will be quickly ashing blue
To change to FM, short press Mode (1) and to change to Aux, insert an aux cable into the
Aux input (6) and the Miami will automatically go into Aux mode regardless of what mode
you are currently using

PLEASE NOTE: If you are connected wirelessly and change to either FM or Aux the Miami
will automatically disconnect from the wireless connection. However when you return to
wireless it will automatically look for the last paired device.

Wireless setup
Pairing a wireless device for the rst time
1. Slide the On/O switch (8) to the ‘On’ position
2. The LED indicator (9) will ash blue to indicate it is in pairing mode
3. Turn your Bluetooth
®
enabled device ON and search for available devices
(check your device’s manual if you’re unsure how to do this)
4. Select ‘KS Miami’ from the list of found devices. If asked for a passcode, enter ‘0000’ and the
Miami will then be connected to your device
5. After pairing successfully, the LED indicator (9) will be solid blue
6. The next time the Miami is switched on, it will automatically search for and attempt to connect
to the last paired device

Note: If your device is not connecting automatically, it’s because it is not the last paired device.
Simply delete ‘Miami’ from the list of Bluetooth devices on your device and re-pair.
Re-pairing or pairing new devices
1. Turn wireless o on any previously paired devices

7. The volume can be adjusted on both your device and the Miami. To change the volume
on the Miami, press and hold the Volume– (3) or Volume+ (4) button until you reach the
desired volume
Note: Track control functions from the buttons on the Miami will require your device to have
Bluetooth
®
prole AVRCP. Please check your device’s manual if unsure.
Playing audio wirelessly
1. If Miami is in FM mode, short press Mode (1) and it will change to wireless mode
2. Follow the instructions in the ‘Pairing a wireless device’ section
3. Use the controls on your device to select content
4. Audio played through the connected wireless device will now be heard through the Miami
5. To play or pause the selected track, use the controls on your device or short press MFB (2)
6. To skip track, use the controls on your device or short press the Previous track (3) or the
Next track (4) button

Playing audio via aux-in
1. With the Miami turned on, insert the 3.5 mm audio cable into the Aux input (6). The Miami
will automatically enter Aux mode, and the LED indicator (9) will turn solid blue
2. Plug the other end of the aux cable into the audio/headphone output on an MP3 player
or other audio source
3. Audio played through the connected device will now be heard through the Miami
4. The volume can be adjusted on both your device and Miami. To change the volume on the
Miami, short press the Volume– (3) or Volume+ (4) button several times until you reach the
desired volume
5. Short pressing MFB (2) will mute the speaker but please note, this will not pause the track
on your device
Note: When in Aux mode you will only be able to skip tracks, play, and pause your music from
your device.

Playing audio via FM
Please note: If signal is poor, please insert the charge cable into the Micro USB charge port (7)
as this will act as an aerial.
1. Slide the On/O switch (8) to the ‘On’ position
2. The LED indicator (9) will ash blue going straight into wireless pairing mode
3. Short press Mode (1) and this will change to FM mode. The LED indicator (9) will be solid blue
4. Long press MFB (2) for 4 seconds and this will start searching all available stations
5. Once all stations have been found, short press the Volume– (3) or Volume+ (4) button to
change to your desired station
6. To change the volume press and hold the Volume– (3) or Volume+ (4) button until you reach
your desired volume
Note: Once the Miami has found the stations, you will not need to re-scan.

Playing audio via the micro SD
1. Insert micro SD card into the Micro SD card reader (5)
2. Music will automatically play
3. Short press MFB (2) to play/pause music
4. Short press Previous/Next track (3,4) to change track
5. Long press Volume– (3) or Volume+ (4) to decrease/increase volume
PLEASE NOTE: Your device will have an internal amplier and if it is playing digital les like
MP3s it will also have an integrated DAC (Digital Audio Converter). If you turn up the volume to
100%, your device will be sending distorted signals to the Miami. To avoid this and to get the
best sound quality from the speaker, we recommend that you do not run your device any
higher than 95% volume.

Call-handling
Answer a call When a call comes through, short press MFB (2) to answer. During the
call you can decrease/increase the volume by pressing the Volume– (3)
or Volume+ (4) buttons respectively
End call During a call, short press MFB (2) to end the call
Reject a call When a call comes through, long press MFB (2) for 3 seconds to reject
Redial To redial the last dialled number, short press MFB (2) twice to redial
Note: This feature is only available in wireless mode.

Care for your Miami
Please DON’T:
Get the Miami wet
Drop the Miami as this will invalidate your warranty
Open up the Miami as there are no user serviceable parts inside
Expose the Miami to extreme temperatures or rapid changes of hot to cold or vice versa
Please DO:
Clean the Miami with a soft dry cloth and no detergents
