Using the BoomBar
Charging the speaker
It is recommended that you give the speaker a full charge
before its first use.
1. Plug the Mini USB end of the charging cable into
the speaker.
2. Plug the standard USB end into either a computer or
a USB mains charger.
3. A solid red light will show on the front of the speaker.
4. The light will go out when it is fully charged.
NOTE: It may take up to 4 hours before it is fully charged.
Pairing the speaker to your device
Before you can use the speaker via Bluetooth, it will need
to be paired to your device.
To do this:
1. Slide the power switch to the ‘ON’ position (1).
2. Wait for about 8 seconds then press (do not hold) the
Play/Pause button (6).
3. The speaker’s LED should flash red and blue alternately.
4. Turn your device’s Bluetooth ON and search for new
devices.
5. When the speaker appears in the list, select it and if
asked for a pass code, enter ‘0000’.
6. The speaker should then be paired to your device.
Playing music on your speaker
Changing the volume
This can be done on both the device you are playing music
from and on the speaker.
To change the volume on the speaker, press and hold (do not
short press otherwise it may skip track) either the Volume +
(5) or Volume – (7) button.
Bluetooth
If already connected to the speaker via Bluetooth, simply find
and play the music on your device and the sound will play
through the speaker. Some devices may require you to select
the audio output. You should be able to do this by going to the
‘Listen via’ or ‘Play via’ menu. If unsure, please refer to your
device’s manual.
If you are using an A2DP Bluetooth-enabled device, you will
be able to use the following functions on the speaker:
• Play/Pause (6) – Short press
• Next Track (5) – Short press
• Previous Track (7) – Short press
Auxiliary
Using the provided cable, you can connect your device
directly to the speaker.
To use this, simply:
• Slide the power switch to the ‘ON’ position (1)
• Plug the cable into the speaker’s Aux socket (3) and
your device
• Press play on your device
When playing music using the cable, you will not be able to
use the Play/Pause, Next Track and Previous Track functions
or change the volume on the speaker.
