MANUAL TIME SETTING
Your watch will set itself automatically. This manual time setting is an option only when there
is no signal around after the battery is replaced. When you go abroad, you should change
the time of your watch using Time Zone setting instead of the Manual Time Setting.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Second-hand shifting
Your watch is a very delicate and precise instrument. Although uncommon, sometimes hard knocks
or vibrations can cause the hands to move irregularly, and therefore display the incorrect time,
although the internal clock is keeping accurate time. You may notice this if when setting the LCD to
“Second” reading and found that it is not synchronized with the Analog Second-hand. This shows the
reference point of the Analog Second-hand has changed and the watch needs to be reset. Please go
to “Reset the Watch” for details.
Watch Not Receiving Time Signal
Reason for not being able to receive the Time Signal include,
-Being outside of the radio signal area
-Being out in a built up area
-Metal objects blocking the radio signal
-Interference from a computer monitor or TV
Ensure the watch is left by a window, as this gives the best reception, you may have to try different
windows in the house to see which is best. You can test this using reception status test described
earlier. Please note that reception is always better at night.
If your watch is unable to make contact with the radio signal, it will continue to function in the same
way as a standard watch. The time will then be corrected the next time your watch receives the time
signal.
Watch stop or runs 2 steps every 2 seconds
When Battery level is low, the LCD shows a ashing empty battery icon and the seconds hand runs 2
steps every 2 seconds. If the battery is not charged up in time, the hands stop to save battery power
at 12 o’clock. This is not a malfunction. Then you need to put the watch under direct sunlight or cool
uorescent light until the hand resumes running. It may take few days if the battery is too low.
The watch will automatically set itself once the battery level returns to normal. Please go to “Charging
the watch” for details.
Hour is wrong while Minute is right
If your Time Zone setting is incorrect, your watch will show you the wrong time. You need to manually
set it to the right Time Zone. Go to “Time Zone Setting” for details.
Second or Hour or Minute hands are wrong
Need to reset all hands to 12 o’clock. Go to “Reset the watch” for details.
No Display and watch hands stop
If battery is too low, the watch is not able to maintain the internal running time. When this is the case,
the LCD does not show any display and watch hands do not run. This is not a malfunction. If this is
the case, the watch needs to be charged under strong light until the LCD displays “Set to 12”. After
that follow the “After Battery Replacement” to initiate the watch.
If the watch does not show “Set to 12” after charging under strong light continuously for several days,
the battery needs to be replaced. Go to “Battery Change” for details.
