INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on the purchase of your Precision Solar
Powered Radio Controlled Watch.
Be sure to read this instruction manual before using the watch
for the rst time. After reading the manual please keep it in a safe
place for future reference.
Your Precision watch is a world band (multi frequency) watch.
It incorporates a highly sensitive radio receiver that receives time
signals from the UK, Europe, US and Japan according to the time
zone setting on the watch. Your Precision watch even adjusts
automatically for daylight saving time.
Automatic Time Setting
Your Precision watch receives the available atomic clock sig-
nal automatically at 3:00am every night according to the time
zone setting (go to time zone setting for details).
Everything is done automatically.

QUICK SET UP GUIDE
Step 1:
Check the Second Hand Position
Make sure the second hand position is correct before use.
During transit the second hand may move or lose time. Press S3 (bottom button) once to check if the
second hand stops at either the 6 or 12 O’clock position (half second deviation is acceptable). If the
second hand does not stop at 6 or 12 O’clock position, please refer to, “Time and Calendar Synchroni-
zation” which can be found in the “Troubleshooting” section of this manual.
Step 2:
Check Time Zone
Once the second hand is moving again press and hold S3 (bottom button) for 3 seconds. The second
hand will move and pause at 12 O’clock for 2 seconds and will then spin to its preset time zone. The
Time Zone is represented by the position of the second hand as per the below table.

Wait until the second hand starts to move
again before proceeding (may take up to 60
seconds).

Time Zone Settings (USA USERS ONLY)
If you nd your preset USA time zone is dierent from your local US time zone, follow the below steps:

• Make sure the watch is running normally
• Pull button S2 to the C position.
• Press and hold S3 (bottom button) for 3 seconds. The second hand will move and pause at 12
o’clock for 2 seconds and will then spin to its preset time zone.
• Next, keep pressing S1 (upper button) to move the second hand to point at the Time Zone you want.
(If your watch has been set to the right Time Zone when you check it, leave the watch for around one
minute until the second hand starts moving regularly.
• Press S3 (bottom button) once to conrm the new USA time zone setting.
• Return S2 to the A position.
Remarks:
1. This procedure is used to set USA P/M/C/E only when the time zone of the watch is within the 4
American time zones; Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacic (7, 8, 9 and 11 o’clock). The watch
cannot be set to another time zone using this USA time zone setting. If you want to change the watch
to the time zone of another country then you need to follow the “Change Time Zone” procedure.
2. If your watch is not within a USA time zone, holding S3 will show the current time zone but no time
zone setting will be allowed.
3. Your watch hands will spin to set the time according to your new time zone setting if it is an advance
hour setting, for instance, were you set your watch from Pacic to Mountain, it may take up to 30
minutes for the watch to be set.
4. If the time zone you require is an anti-clockwise setting from Mountain to Pacic, then the watch will
stop until the new time zone is matched. Please leave the watch until it resumes running again, it
may take up to 4 hours.

Step 3:
First Time Use
Please leave your watch near to a window for between 24 to 48 hours to receive radio signal. For the
best possible reception leave your watch at, face down near a window for 24 to 48 hours.
There are other functions available with your Precision Watch. You may go through them as you wish
but as long as you have gone through the “Quick Setup”, your watch is ready to use!
CAUTION!
DO NOT push any button while the second hand is stationary or is fast spinning.
Wait until the seconds hand moves regularly.

BATTERY MANAGEMENT
When the battery level is low, the second hand runs 2 steps every 2 seconds. When this happens, all
button functions and signal reception will be prohibited. If the battery is not charged up in time, the
hands will stop at 12 o’clock to save battery power. You will need to charge up the watch. It may take
a few days if the battery is too low. The watch will automatically set itself once the battery level returns
to normal.
Battery Level Check
Push S1 twice to show the battery level. Wait until the watch is running normally after reading the
battery level.

SOLAR POWER RECHARGING
Your Precision watch is charged by all ambi-
ent light, whether that is from a natural or arti-
cial power source. Avoid overheating as it will
damage the watch permanently.
When the watch is fully charged, it can run for
around 12 months on a single charge.
Notes on Recharging
• Avoid recharging at high temperatures (over
60°C) such as placing it on a dashboard of a
vehicle or too close to an electric lamp.
• It is recommended that the watch should be
charged up once a month in direct sun light or
under strong uorescent lamp.
• The watch may need several days to charge
up (depending on the environment) from a
complete stop if the battery is low. Wait until
the watch is fully charged to resume operation.
How it Works
• All light is absorbed through the transparent
watch dial.
• A solar cell situated beneath the dial converts
the light into electrical energy to power the
watch. With regular exposure to ambient light
the watch will continue to charge.
• The battery stores enough energy to power the
watch for 5 years (depending on model), even
in the dark.

BUTTON FUNCTIONS (SEE OPERATION DIAGRAM PAGE 2)
S1 (upper button):
• Press S1 once to show the day of the week (1 o’clock = Monday …7 o’clock = Sunday)
• Press S1 twice to show battery level status
• Hold S1 to manually search for the radio signal
S2 (the middle Crown):
• To set time and calendar manually for travelling just like a normal analogue watch.
S3 (bottom button):
• Press S3 once to show the Radio Controlled reception status
• Press and hold S3 for 3 seconds to show the current Time Zone setting
RECEPTION STATUS CHECK
You can check your Precision watch reception status by carrying out the following procedures:
• Push S3 once while the watch is in time keeping mode
• If the reception was successful, the second hand will pause at 12 o’clock
• If the reception failed, the second hand will pause at 6 o’clock
DAY OF THE WEEK CHECK
The day of the week is indicated by the second hand position according to the table on page 13.
Press S1 once while the watch is in time keeping mode will show the day of the week. If the hand
points to 1 o’clock it is Monday, 2 o’clock is Tuesday, 3 o’clock is Wednesday and so forth. 7 o’clock
would be Sunday.
CAUTION!
DON’T push any button while the second hand has stopped.
Wait until your watch runs again.

AUTOMATIC DATE AND TIME SYNCHRONISATION
Perpetual Calendar Operation
The date and time of your watch synchronizes with the atomic clock automatically. For example it will
show ‘31’ in the last day of January, ‘30’ in the last day of June and ‘28/29’ in February according to
whether or not it is a leap year.
1. The watch hands will spin, from 1am to 2am at night time, to adjust the date disc when necessary. Do
not push any button or pull out the crown when the watch is adjusting by itself at midnight.
2. If the battery is too low and the watch is not recharged in time, the watch hands will stop running while
the internal timekeeping is still correct. When the watch is recharged before the battery becomes
empty, the watch will automatically spin to show the correct time but the date calendar will not be
synchronized with the internal calendar. When this is the case, you will need to manually set the date
by using the crown.
3. If the watch is not recharged in time after the watch hands stop, the watch battery will run out and
become empty and will not be able to keep the internal time. If this is the case, the watch will run
1+2 steps after it is recharged up to a certain battery level. This tells you that the time and calendar
are not correct. You will need to reset the watch. Please go to “Watch Reset” and follow the steps
to initiate the watch.
MANUAL SIGNAL RECEPTION
Use this feature to manually search for a radio signal
The date and time of your watch synchronizes with the atomic clock automatically. For example it will
show ‘31’ in the last day of January, ‘30’ in the last day of June and ‘28/29’ in February according to
whether or not it is a leap year.
• Hold S1 for 6 seconds or more until the second hand stops. This shows that the watch is in the
“Manual Signal Reception mode”. Put the watch in a location where a signal reception is possible,
for example, near to a window.
• Now your watch is trying to pick up the radio signal. The watch takes between 4 to 20 minutes to pick
up this signal. Wait until the watch has nished the signal receiving procedure. The correct time will be
shown once the reception has successfully been received.

Signal reception is always better during night time than during the day. If the watch was unsuccessful
to receive the signal during the day, just leave your watch near to a window in a face-down position
overnight and check it again the next morning.
TRAVELLING
You can set the time and calendar manually when you go travelling:
• Set time: Pull out the crown to C position and turn it to set time
• Set date: Pull out the crown to B position and turn it to set date
• Turn o the Perpetual Calendar function and the Atomic Radio Controlled time update functions by
doing the following: While the watch is running normally, press S1 once to pause the second hand.
While the second hand is paused, hold S3 (for around 3 seconds) until the second hand spins to 6
o’clock, then release all buttons.
Now your watch works like a generic analogue watch with the perpetual calendar and Atomic Radio
Controlled time update function disabled for travelling.
Returning home.
After returning home from travelling, you will need to synchronize your watch to the internal time
keeping. Please go to “Time and Calendar Synchronization” and set your watch accordingly.

ADVANCED FEATURES
Time and Calendar Synchronisation
If any of the watch hands are not correct or, after returning from travelling you need to synchronize the
time and calendar of the watch, please follow the below instructions:
• While the watch is running normally, pull out the middle crown (S2) to C position. Exactly when the
second hand is at 12 o’clock. The second hand is now set to stop at exactly the 12 o’clock position.
• Keep turning the crown to set the watch to midnight of “Yesterday” (local time).
Explanation
When you turn the crown, you will see the calendar starts to move every time the hour and minute
hands are set to 12:00:00. This is midnight of that date. For example if today is 5th here is how you set
it to midnight of 4th:
1. After you perform (1) then you need to keep turning the crown until the calendar jumps from 4th
to 5th
2. Very slowly bring the hour and minute hands to exactly 12:00:00.
3. This is midnight of 4th with hour, minute and second hands stopping at 12:00:00. If you slightly go
past midnight then just turn the crown the opposite way until it shows exactly 12:00:00.
• After midnight “Yesterday” is set, hold S1 (top button) for 6 seconds (do not push in the crown)
• Push in the crown to the A position. The watch starts to spin to match the internal time. The Perpetual
Calendar and the Atomic Radio Controlled time update functions will be enabled.
Watch Reset
Follow the below procedures to reset your watch:
• While the watch is running normally, pull out the middle crown (S2) to C position exactly when the
second hand is at 12 o’clock, the second hand is now set to stop at exactly the 12 o’clock position.
• Keep turning the crown to set the watch to midnight of “Yesterday” (local time).
Explanation: When you turn the crown, you will see the calendar starts to move every time the hour and
minute hands are set to 12:00:00. This is midnight of the date. For example if today is 8th here is how
you set it to midnight of 7th:

1. After you perform the rst ‘Watch Reset’ step, you need to keep turning the crown until the
calendar jumps from 7th to 8th.
2. Very slowly bring the hour and minute hands to exactly 12:00:00.
3. This is midnight of 7th with hour, minute and second hands paused at 12:00:00. If you slightly go
past midnight then just turn the crown the opposite way until it shows exactly 12:00:00.
• After midnight of “Yesterday” is set, hold S3 (bottom button) for 10 seconds (do not push-in the
crown) and then, push-in the crown to the A position. The watch does not run after the crown is
pushed in.
• Place your watch near a window to get signal.
• The watch will start to update its rst signal. It will continue updating signal for the coming 24 hours
if the rst signal reception is not successful. The hands move to the correct time and calendar after
receiving a valid time signal.
Change Time Zone
Your watch is preset to your local time zone. You are recommended to change the time manually by the
crown just like a generic analogue watch when travelling instead of changing the time zone of the watch.
You should only use this procedure to change the time zone of the watch when you have to stay in a
dierent country for a long period of time.
• While the watch is running normally, pull out the middle crown (S2) to C position when the secon hand
is at 12 o’clock so that the second hand stops at 12 o’clock.
• Do not push in the crown. Press and hold down S1. While S1 is held down use another nger to hold
S3 at the same time for 5 seconds and then release all buttons and push the crown to position the A.
• The second hand spins and points at the current time zone of the watch.
• Press S1 repeatedly to change to the new time zone (if you don’t need to change the time zone, just
press S3 to conrm) (This setting allows the watch to set to global time zone)
• Press S3 to conrm your new time zone. Wait until the watch runs normally.
• After your watch is set to a new time zone and the watch runs normally, you have to synchronize the
time and calendar of the watch. Please go to “Time and Calendar Synchronization” and follow this
procedure to set.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Watch is Not Recieving Time Signal
Possible reasons for not being able to receive the time signal include:
• Watch is not put near a window to receive a signal
• Watch is not put on a table, face down when retrieving signal
• Being outside of the signal coverage area
• Being in a built up area
• Metal objects blocking the radio signal
• Interference by computer monitor or TV
Ensure the watch is left by a window in a position advised in the “Watch position for radio signal recep-
tion”. You may have to try dierent windows in the house to see which is best. You can test this using the
reception status test detailed earlier. Please note that reception is always better at night. If your watch
is unable to make contact with the radio signal, it will continue to function in the same way as a standard
watch. The time will then be correct the next time your watch receives a signal.

Second hand runs 2 steps every 2 seconds
When the battery level is low, the second hand runs 2 steps every 2 seconds. When this is the case, all
button functions and signal reception will be prohibited. If the battery is not charged up in time, the hands
stop at 12 o’clock to save battery power. You will need to charge up the watch. It may take a few days
if the battery is too low. The watch will automatically set itself once the battery level returns to normal.
Second hand runs 1+2 steps
If the watch is not recharged in time after the watch hands stop, the watch battery will run out and
become empty and will not be able to keep the internal timekeeping. If this is the case, the watch will
run 1+2 steps after it is recharged until a certain battery level is reached. This tells you that the time and
calendar are not correct. You will need to initiate the watch. Please go to “After Battery Replacement”
and follow the steps to initiate the watch.
Date is not correct
The internal electronic date of your Precision watch is always synchronized with the atomic clock. Some-
times the mechanical date will be incorrect after time zone setting and accidental change of calendar
by the user. You can correct this by following the procedure of “Time and Calendar Synchronization”.
Seconds hand is incorrect
Your Precision watch is a very delicate and precise instrument. Although uncommon, sometimes hard
knocks or vibrations can cause the hands to move irregularly, and therefore display the incorrect time,
although the internal clock is keeping accurate time. You may notice this when checking for a success-
ful/failed reception and the second hand does not pause at exactly 12 or 6 (half second deviation is
acceptable), or the second hand does not pause at 12 o’clock when checking the time zone or if the 12
or 6 o’clock reference point has changed and the watch hands need to be reset. Please go to “Time and
Calendar Synchronization” for details.
Hour is wrong while minute is correct
If your time zone setting is incorrect, your watch will show you the wrong time.
You can hold S3 for 3 seconds to check if the time zone is correct. You can correct this by following the
procedure of “Change Time Zone”.

Both hour and minute are wrong
This could happen after a battery replacement and the watch is not manually set to 12:00: You can
correct this by following the procedure of “Time and Calendar Synchronization”.
Watch stops when you pull out the crown
Your watch does not run after the crown stem is pulled out. Please push in the crown and the watch
hands run to match internal time automatically after the crown is pushed in.
BATTERY CHANGE
Your watch uses a high quality ML2016 rechargeable battery which can work for up to 20 years with the
correct usage. When you need to replace a new battery, please nd a trained jeweller or watch specialist
to change the replacement battery to avoid any damage to the watch.
• Open the watch at the back.
• Carefully remove the bottom, making sure not to lose the waterproof seal.
• Pick up the battery spring carefully.
• Take out the battery and insert a new one (watch the polarity! ”+”up).
• Then push the battery spring down.
• Before putting the case-back on again, make sure the waterproof seal is correctly in place.

After Battery Replacement
1. After battery replacement, the LCD displays “Set to 12”.
2. Make sure the crown is pushed-in and the second hand is running normally
3. Pull out the crown when the second hand is at 12:00:00 to stop it from running
4. Rotate the crown to set Hour and Minute hands at 12:00:00
5. Then push-in the crown
6. The LCD display shows “LON”. This is the pre-set Time Zone of the watch – LONDON, UK.
7. Set your Time Zone by S1. For Germany, please set it to BER. For America, please set it to LAX,
DEN, CHI or NYC.
8. Press-release S2 to conrm
9. Then, the watch will initiate a signal reception automatically. Put the watch near a window and let
it rest on its side or in a face-down manner (make sure a metal band doesn’t touch the case-back
of the watch).
10. The watch will run to the right time if the reception is successful or starts to run at 12 o’clock if
the reception is failed.
11. Place your watch near to a window to get a signal if the initial reception failed. The watch will
start to update the signal at the beginning of the next hour. It will continue updating the signal for
the coming 24 hours. After receiving a valid time signal, the hands move on to the correct time.
12. Please go to “Reset the Watch” if you are not able to perform this operation correctly after a battery
replacement. It will give you the same result.
Set the Watch to Sleep
1. While the watch is running normally, holding S1 and then hold S2 and wait for around 3 seconds
until the second hand spins to stop at 12 o’clock. The LCD shows QSM.
2. Then release all buttons
3. Press S1 once to enter the sleep mode.
4. After pressing S1, the display shows “SLP” and watch hands spin to stop at 12:00:00 to sleep (this
will take a long time to reach).
5. When the watch is sleeping, the LCD turns o, the hands stops and signal reception is stopped
but the internal time is still running.

How to Check the Battery Level Whilst the Watch is Sleeping
1. When the watch is sleeping, press any button once to show the battery level for one minute.
2. The watch will go to sleep again by a push of S1 or it will sleep again if no button is pressed after
one minute.
How to Wake Up a Sleeping Watch
1. Press and holding any button for more than 3 seconds to wake up a sleeping watch.
2. The LCD displays “WAIT”. Please wait until the watch hands set themselves automatically to match
the internal running time.
3. Once the watch has woken up, all functions return to normal.
PLEASE NOTE:
If the battery is too low, the watch is not able to maintain the internal running time and the watch will
not be able to wake up. This is not a malfunction. If this is the case, the watch needs to be charged
under strong light until the LCD displays “Set to 12”. After that follow the “After Battery Replacement”
to initiate the watch.

Your timepiece is guaranteed against any defective parts or construction for 2 years from the date of
purchase.
Your guarantee is only valid if you present your original receipt when returning the watch.
The guarantee provides you with the rights which are in addition to the consumer statutory rights and
therefore, do not limit the eect of these statutory rights.
Please note that this guarantee does not cover breakages caused by accident or maltreatment. Bat-
teries are not covered. A full complete after sales service is also available, after the guarantee expires,
at a nominal charge.
