ThismanualexplainsindetailtheindividualcomponentsthatcompriseacompletesystemwhichmaybeMLA,MLACompact,
MLAMinioreven acombination ofallthree.System wiringand riggingisexplained andthetwo keysoftwarepackagesare
covered.Itisnothowevertheintentionforthismanualtobethesoletuto
rialmediumforthosewishingtousethesystem.Each

Together with the canvas weather cowl protecting the amplifier module from either excessive sunlight or precipitation the

Rigging
MLA’srigginghasbeenderivedfromthehighlysuccessfulriggingsystememployedonMartinAudio’slinearraysystem.Thishas
provedtobepopular,quickandaboveallsafe.RiggingMLAwillbeinstantlyfamiliartoanyonewhohasriggedMartinAudio
systemsinthepast,wehavemadeafewminorimprovementstomake

Thecabinetsarejoinedusingmachinedquickreleasepins.Thesehavespringloadedballbearingsattheendofthepinwhich
protrudebeyondthe outerdiameterofthepin thuslockingthem inplace.To releasethem,thecentralbuttonis depressed
whilstpullingthepinclearusingthewideflange.Thisisbestdonewiththeforeand
indexfingerspullingthepinwhilstyour
thumbdepressesthecentralbutton,averyquickandeasyoperation.Whenusingthepinstolinkcabinets,thecentralbutton
mustagainbedepressedsothepincanbepushedintoposition.Itisimportanttocheckthatth
ecentralbuttondoesnotremain
depressedonceyouhaveputitinplaceasthiswouldindicatethatthepinhasnotbeenpushedallthewayintopositionandthe
ballbearingsattheendofthepinhavenotbeenabletopopoutandlockthepininplace.Ifthepinisnotlockedthearrayis
unsafe.ThepinMUSTbereposi
tioneduntilitissecurelylockedinplace.
TheMLAhasanimprovedfrontriggingbracketwithabarthatrunsthefullheightofthecabinet.Thispreventsthecabinets
