integratorsandmusiciansrequirefromaself‐poweredloudspeakerintosharpfocus.

Comprising three

 full‐range models and two subwoofers, CDD‐LIVE! Covers practically all professional stand‐alone and

distributedapplications—fromsoundreinforcementandmonitoringforlivebands,DJ’sandcorporateevents,toinstallations

indanceclubs,ballrooms,theatresandperformingartscentres.

Combiningthe‘point‐source’benefitsofcoaxialdesignswith

theconsistentcoverageofDifferentialDispersiontechnology,CDD‐

LIVE! Full range systems are optimised for optimum real‐world coverage exhibiting wide horizontal dispersion close to the

speakeratthebottom oftheverticaldispersion whichnarrowsto thetopofthe verticalcoveragetoensureexcellentpower

deliveryrighttothe

backoftheroom.Thusallcornersoftheaudienceexperiencethesamesuperbsonicquality.

On‐board Class D amplification, DSP and Dante™ Digital Audio networking assure simplicity of stage set‐up and efficient

installation,whiletour‐gradeenclosuresandcomprehensivemountingoptions—includingpolemount,wallbrackets,

yokesand

rigginginserts—providemaximumflexibilityindeployment.

Withsonicconsistencyacrosstherange,arectangularcoveragefootprintandamultitudeofdeploymentoptions,CDD‐LIVE!is

COAXIALDIFFERENTIALDISPERSIONTECHNOLOGY

Introduced by Martin Audio with the launch of the CDD Installation Series of speakers, full‐range models feature uniqu e,

patentedCoaxialDifferentialDispersion™technology.CDDsystemsaugmentthe‘point‐source’benefitsofcoaxialdriverswith

theconsistencyofcoveragewhichDifferentialDispersiontechnologycandeliver.

Non‐coaxialsystemscansufferfrom

unevenfrequencyresponseinthecrossoverregionbecauseofinterferencebetweenthe

LFandHFsections;dependingonthelisteningposition,thiscausesoff‐axisvariations,particularlyclosetotheloudspeaker.In

contrast,coaxialsystemsaimtosumLFandHFcontributionsatallpositionsoff‐axis,evenclose‐up.

AdisadvantageofconventionalcoaxialdevicescanbeHFbeaming,wheretheHFdispersionreducesathigherfrequencies.This

isprimarilybecausetheHFenergyemergesthroughanarrowtubeinthepole‐pieceofthemagnetsystem.CDDSeriescoaxial

devicesovercomethisbytheuseofastatic waveguide

thatmergesseamlesslywiththeuniqueconeshape—maintainingthe

dispersionpatternevenatveryhighfrequencies.

ADifferentialDispersionhornhasatrapezoidaldispersionpatterninbothverticalandhorizontalplaneswhichcoversthetarget

areamoreevenlythanasystemwithaconventional,fixeddispersiontypehorn.

Withaconventionalhorn,thespeakerisusually

placedaboveheadheightandaimedtowardsthecentreoftheaudience.Thisproducesanimperfectcoveragepatternwhich

missesoutsomeareas—particularlysideareasclosetothe loudspeaker.

Incontrast,aCDDCoaxialDifferentialDispersionsystemproducesarectangularcoverage

patternextendingtoallcornersofthe

audiencearea,whilewidehorizontalcoverageisachievedveryclosetotheloudspeaker.Theconsistencyoffrequencyresponse

andSPLthusachievedthroughouttheaudienceareaisexceptional.Theimprovedcoverageclosetothesourcealsomeansthat

CDDspeakerscanoftenbe

spacedfurtherapart,reducingoverallspeakercount.

DANTE™

AllmodelsintheCDD‐LiverangefeatureaclassDamplifierwithon‐boardDSPandinputtothesystemscanbeeitherbalanced

line level analogue or Dante™ digital audio.  Introduced by Audinate, Danteis an uncompressed, multi‐channeldigital media

networking platform, with near‐zero latency and synchronization.

 Dante has become the preferred digital audio networking

solution,acommonplatformthattheindustryhadbeentryingtofindformanyyears.Ithasbeenadoptedbymorepro‐a udio

AV manufacturers than any other networkin g technology. Interoperability is not a dream of the future, but a reality today.

SettingupaDantenetworkissimple—evencomplexnetworkscanbeconfiguredeasilyandquickly,withalldevicesdiscovered

anddisplayedintheDanteControllersoftware.Oncesetup,thecomputerrunningDanteControllercanberemovedfromthe

networkifdesired,withsystemsettingsstoredinthedevicesthemselves

andautomaticallyrestoredwhenadeviceispower‐

cycled.

SwitchingbetweenXLRanalogueinputstoDanteonCDD‐LIVE!enclosuresisautomaticifadigitalstreamispresent,unlessthe

userselectstheXLRoptioninVU‐NET.ThisofferstheoptionofrunningbothDantedigitalandanaloguesimultaneously

withthe

analoguefeedactingasaredundantback‐uptoseamlesslytakeoverintheeventofafailureintheDantefeedup‐streamofthe

CDD‐Livespeaker.


