3.2IntendedUse
Thewheelchairisintendedtoprovidemobilitytopersons
limitedtoasittingposition,whoarepropellingthe
wheelchairthemselvesmostofthetime.
Theintendeduseristhewheelchairoccupantand/oran
assistant.Theusershouldphysicallyandmentallybeableto
usethewheelchairsafely(e.g.topropel,steer,brake).
Thewheelchairisintendedforpersons,ages12andup
(adolescentsandadults).Theweightofthewheelchair
occupantshouldnotexceedthemaximumuserweightas

Thewheelchairisnotintendedforabusiveorexcessive

Thewheelchaircanbeequippedwithaposturebelt.It
preventstheuserfromslidingdownwardinthewheelchair
orfromfallingoutofthewheelchair .Theposturebeltis
notapositioningdevice.
WARNING!
Riskofseriousinjury/strangulation
Aloosebeltcanallowtheusertoslipdownand
createariskofstrangulation.
Theposturebeltshouldbemountedby
aqualiedtechnicianandttedbythe
responsibleprescriber.
Alwaysmakesurethattheposturebeltis
tightlyttedacrossthelowerpelvis.
Eachtimetheposturebeltisused,checkifit
tsproperly.Changingtheseatand/orbackrest
angle,thecushionandevenyourclothes
inuencethetofthebelt.
Closingandopeningtheposturebelt
Ensurethatyouaresittingfullybackintheseatandthat
thepelvisisasuprightandsymmetricalaspossible.

Theposturebelthasthegoodlength,whenthere’s
justsufcientspaceforaathandbetweenbody
andbelt.

Threadthebeltloopthroughbothplastic
bucklestoavoidthebeltfromloosening.
Dotheadjustmentsonbothsidesequally,
sothatthebuckleclaspremainsinacentral
position.
Makesurethatthebeltsdonotgetcaughtin
thespokesofarearwheel.
