1.4Typeclassiî„®cation
Thisvehiclehasbeenclassiî„®edaccordingtoEN12184asa
classBmobilityproduct(forindoorandoutdoorareas).It
isthereforecompactandagileenoughforindoorareas,but
alsoabletonegotiatesomeoutdoorobstacles.
1.5Intendeduse
Themobilitydeviceispropelledelectricallyandshouldonly
beusedforindependentorassistedtransportofadisabled
personwithmobilitydifî„®culties.Thispowerwheelchairis
intendedtoprovidemobilitytopersonsages10andup
(children,adolescentsandadults)withaweightcapacity
of80&125kgdependingontheseatwidth.Thispower
wheelchairisdesignedforpersonswhoseabilitytowalkis
impaired,butwhoarestillintermsoftheireyesightand
physicallyandmentallyabletooperateanelectricmobility
device.Thepowerwheelchairshouldonlybeusedonlevel
groundandaccessibleterrain,aswellasindoorsoroutdoors
withlimitedcrossingcapacities.
Thismobilitydeviceneedstobesubscribedandî„®t
toyourspeciî„®chealthcondition.

Anyotherorincorrectusecouldleadto
hazardoussituations.

1.6Indications
Theuseofthispowerwheelchairisrecommendedforthe
followingindications:
•Theinabilityoragreatlyrestrictedabilitytowalkwithin
thescopeofthebasicrequirementtobeabletomove
withinone’sownfourwalls.

•Theneedtoleavethedwellingplaceinordertoget
somefreshairduringashortwalkortoreachthose
placesgenerallytobefoundatclosedistancetothe
dwellingandwhereeverydaybusinessiscarriedout.
Provisionofpowerwheelchairsforinteriorandexterior
areasisadvisableiftheuseofhand-operatedwheelchairsis
nolongerpossibleonaccountofthedisability,yetproper
operationofanelectromotivedriveunitisstillpracticable.
Contraindications
Therearenocontraindicationsknown.
1.7Usability
Onlyuseamobilitydevicewhenitisinperfectworking
order .Otherwise,youmightputyourselfandothersatrisk.
Thefollowinglistdoesnotclaimtobeexhaustive.Itisonly
intendedtoshowsomeofthesituationsthatcouldaffect
theusabilityofyourmobilitydevice.
Incertainsituations,youshouldimmediatelystopusing
yourmobilitydevice.Othersituationsallowyoutousethe
mobilitydevicetogettoyourprovider.
Youshouldimmediatelystopusingyourmobilitydeviceif
itsusabilityisrestricteddueto:
•Unexpecteddrivingbehaviour
•brakefailure
YoushouldimmediatelycontactanauthorizedInvacare
provideriftheusabilityofyourmobilitydeviceisrestricted

•thelightingsystem(iftted)failingorbeingdefective

Orifyouhavethefeelingthatsomethingiswrongwith
yourmobilitydevice.
1.8Warranty
Invacareguaranteesthattheirwheelchairsarefreefrom
defectsandarefullyfunctional.Thewarrantycoversall
faultsanddefectswhichareveriî„®ablyattributabletofaulty
construction,substandardmaterialsorpoorworkmanship.
Warrantyclaimsagainstthemanufacturermayonlybemade
bythedistributorandnotbytheuseroftheproduct.
Thewarrantydoesnotcovernormalwearandtear,the
consequencesofimproperhandlingordamage,poor
maintenanceandincorrectassemblyorcommissioning
bythepurchaserorathirdpersonorfaultswhichare
attributabletocircumstancesbeyondourcontrol.Wearing
partsarenotcoveredbytheguarantee.Thewarrantyis
voidedifmodiî„®cationsaremadetotheproductwhichwere
notauthorizedandnotperformedbythespecialistdealer
orifinappropriateaccessoriesorsparepartsareused.
Thewarrantydoesnotcoverconsequentialcostsarising

2.3Safetyinformationonelectromagnetic
interference
Thiselectricvehiclewassuccessfullytestedinaccordance
withInternationalstandardsastoitscompliancewith
ElectromagneticInterference(EMI)regulations.However,
electromagneticî„®elds,suchasthosegeneratedbyradioand
televisiontransmitters,andcellularphonescaninî…‡uencethe
functionsofelectricvehicles.Also,theelectronicsusedin
ourvehiclescangeneratealowlevelofelectromagnetic
interference,whichhoweverwillremainwithinthetolerance
permittedbylaw.Forthesereasonsweaskyoutoplease
observethefollowingprecautions:
