  • Hello! I've reviewed the pitching instructions for the Vango Icarus 500 and 600 Canopies. This document details how to properly assemble and attach the canopy to your tent using its pole and pin system, as well as how to secure it using webbing straps and guy lines. I'm ready to answer any questions you have about setting up your canopy according to these guidelines.

Pitching Instructions
Assemble the poles & insert into pole sleeves on outside of canopy.
Locate one end of the poles in ring & pin system as Figure 1 below.
Push poles into an arch from opposite side and locate other pole end on to
corresponding pin system on flysheet.
Tension the webbing strap at the pole end.
Position the open end of canopy towards tent.
Secure in position by attaching the top webbing strap pole clips of the canopy to the
second pole sleeve of the tent.
Peg out canopy base at contact point with tent and then front of canopy to tension
material.
Secure in position by pegging out the guy lines.
Peg out ALL peg points including rings as figure 2, and peg out ALL guy lines.
The Vango Icarus Canopy is designed for use in lowland sheltered campsites.
Do not pitch in high winds or exposed campsites.
