Z-N965 Update Instructions MainSystem

Requirements

The update consists of a complete MainSystem software update, which must be run from USB data carrier. You will need:

> USB removable storage device (USB stick) with at least 2 GB storage capacity.

> A PC or notebook with Windows operating system.

Please note: Before you start, the USB stick must be formatted with FAT 32. (Right-click on USB memory device in Windows

Explorer. Select "Format" > FAT 32 > Start.

(!) The ZENEC Z-N965 restarts several times during the software update and stays off, among other things, for a few seconds

(black screen for approx. 10 ~ 15 sec.) before the device restarts. Please do not operate or switch off the device during the update

process. After successful installation the tuner source will come up.

Installation of the MainSystem software update via USB:

The MainSystem software can be found at: www.zenec.com> Support> Software Updates> FIAT> Z-N965

1. Download the Software Update v1.2.3 "Z-N965_FEU_v1.2.3.exe".

2. The software package is a self-unzipping executable. Start extraction with a double-click and select your USB stick as target

 fortheuncompressedles.

3.Youobtainalecalled„swupdate_8263_20220627.zip”intherootdirectoryoftheUSBstick

4. Connect the USB stick to the Z-N965 USB-1 connection cable.

5. Go to the device menu:

Settings > System > Software Updateandconrmbytappingonthegreenhookcheckbox.

Tap on the green hook checkbox again, in the "Software Update?" pop-up window.

5. The update process starts automatically now.

6. The update installs sequentially and the lower part of the display screen informs about the progress. The software installation

takes about 4~5 minutes.

Note: After successful installation, device reboot and shows the Tuner source.

Please do not operate or switch off the device during the restart process (duration approx. 3 minutes).

After restart, the tuner source OSD will show up.

Note: After the loading factory defaults, some personal settings must be set again (such as camera grid lines,

audio settings etc.).

Note: After a successful update, the device menu language is in English.

You can set the language to your preference as follows. Go to the device menu:

Setup > System > Load Factoryandconrmbytappingthegreenhookcheckbox.

Tap on the green hook check box again upon "Load Factory?" prompt by the pop-up window.





10. Ver sion control

After installing the software update a version check needs to be carried out. In the device menu:

Settings > System > Software Version Information.

Version: v1.2.3

If the version differs from the target version, install the update a new.

9. Language setting

After the update, the system language is set to English. You can now change the device language to your preference.

Go to the device menu:

Setup > Misc > tap on OSD Language and select your preferred languageinthelist.Conrmyourlanguage

selection by tapping on the green hook checkbox once more in the pop-up window.
