Welcome
The Control Tower Transmitter and Isolé power strip have
been installed in your work area. These products give you
remote control of your overhead lighting and convenient
control of power strip outlets.
With the Tower, you can lower the light level to increase
the visibility of a computer screen, or raise the level to view
documents. You make the choice based on your needs.
An additional feature is the power strip ON/OFF control
button. Devices plugged into the outlets labeled controlled
can be conveniently turned on and off from the Tower. Use
this feature to control task lights, monitors, and radios.
The Control Tower Transmitter and power strip also save
energy for your company. When you leave your work area,
the Tower automatically turns off the devices plugged into
the controlledoutlets and signals the overhead lights to turn
off or go to an energy saving low light level. The reduction in
energy use in your work area will help your company and the
environment.
How it works
The transmitter at the top of the Tower sends an infrared
signal (similar to the remote control for your television) to
remote receivers when a control button is pushed. The top
of the Tower must have a clear line-of-sight to the receivers.
The occupancy sensor looks for the motion of infrared energy
(body heat) to sense occupancy. When motion is sensed, the
lights and controlled outlets will remain on.
When you leave the area for a selected period of time
(Primary Delay), the Tower will switch the controlled outlets
off and will either dim or turn off the lighting. If a Secondary
Delay has been selected, and the area remains vacant for
that additional amount of time, the Tower will turn off the
previously dimmed lighting. When you re-enter the area, the
lighting and outlets will be restored to the state they were in
before you left. If you left the lights or outlets off, they will
remain off until you turn them back on.
Important things to know
It is important that the occupancy sensor has a clear view of
your work area, and is directed away from unwanted coverage
areas such as open doors or entrances. The sensor housing
can be rotated to optimize coverage.
The operating mode, button functions, and time delays
are indicated on the back of this guide.
If set for Automatic-off/Manual-onlights or outlets must be
manually turned on at the Tower. They turn off in the same
automatic manner described above.
