Weigela is a beautiful spring flowering shrub, which produces
rosy-pink trumpet shaped flowers, with red-tinged foliage
which is quite ornamental. Excellent for general garden use,
accent, mass planting, or hedge. Easy to grow, tough shrub.
NOTE: What we ship is two year old ROOT STOCK, ranging
12-18 inches in height and is not a fully grown foliated
potted plant.

About This Variety: It is a vigorous, upright-to-spreading, deciduous shrub with oval to elliptic leaves which turn
deep purple in spring. Plum purple brances add interest to the landscape. The flowers are showy, long lasting and old
fashioned with a heritage. Attracts hummingbirds. Under ideal conditions it can possibly live up to 30 years.
Growing Instructions: Dig a hole about a foot deep and a foot wide. Set the plant in the hole, and fill it half full
with soil. Water. After water is drained, fill the rest of the hole with the remaining soil. Then water thoroughly again
and continue doing so regularly. Fertilization may be necessary.
Care Tip: Prune older branches after they finish blooming.

Height: Grows 6’ tall
Spacing: Plant- 4-6’ apart, crown at soil level
Hardy in: USDA zones 4-8
