About This Variety: Nikko Blue Hydrangeas are desired for their splendid, abundant, showy flower clusters.
Boasts handsome foliage on boldly branched, rounded form. Can bloom on old wood. When planted in acidic soils,
it produces blue flowers; in more alkaline soils, flower color may have a pink hue. Deciduous and fast grower, and a
re-bloomer throughout the summer months.
Growing Instructions: Dig a hole about a foot deep and a foot wide. Set the plant in the hole, and fill it half full
with soil. Water. After water is drained, fill the rest of the hole with the remaining soil. Then water thoroughly again
and continue doing so regularly. Fertilization may be necessary. Prune after the flowers fade.
Care Tip: Soil pH can affect the colors of some hydrangea. Mulching will help it survive the winter months.
