FLYING YOUR DRONE
It is very important to spend time learning to control your drone in a safe environment
before flying it in more challenging conditions. Practice the following moves until you are
fully confident in your abilities.
1. Charge and insert batteries and sync the drone and Controller, as described
previously.
2. Power on the Controller and the drone.
3. Place the drone on a flat surface in a wide open area, with the tail of the drone
toward you. Stand at least 6 feet (2 meters) diagonally behind the drone. Ensure
that there are no people or objects in the immediate area.
Note: By default, the drone is in Air mode. If you want to practice in Water/Land
mode, see Page 12.
4. Press the Speed 40% button. While learning to fly your drone, it is advisable to use
the lowest speed setting.
5. Start with the Speed Control Stick in the bottom position. Gently
press the Speed Control Stick up to increase the height, and right
and left to turn. Be sure you can make the drone hover, staying
in a fixed position in mid air. Experiment with the Speed Control
Stick until you can comfortably control the speed and turns.
If the drone flies too far away from you, land the drone and move closer to it, then
continue practicing.
6. Practice changing the direction of movement with the Direction
Control Stick. Move the stick forward and backward to move
forward and backward when flying. Move the stick left and right to
change direction left and right.
7. When you can comfortably control your drone, you can experiment
with faster speeds by pressing the Speed 60%, 80% and 100% buttons.
SELECTING AIR OR LAND/WATER MODE
You can operate the drone in the air, on land, or in the water. Press either Mode Button to
select your mode. In land and water mode, the rear propellers tilt forward.
In air mode:
Press the Speed Control Stick (the left stick) up and down to control the height of
your flight; press left and right to turn left and right.
Press the Direction Control Stick (the right stick) up to fly forward, down to fly
backward, left and right to fly left or right.
In land/water mode:
Press the Speed Control Stick (the left stick) up and down to control the speed of
your drone; press left and right to turn left and right.

Before placing or landing in water, check that the waterproof switch cover is in place.
After removing from water, open the switch cover and check that the switch is dry. If
necessary, gently dry the switch.
If the drone's head tilts forward, the blades will beat the water and forward
resistance increases. Correct the tilt.
If the drone capsizes, push the left control stick to flip the drone over.
Do not operate at high speed in water, which may cause the drone's head to tilt up,
risking a backflip. If the drone flips, it may fly out of the water.
Press the right joystick backward to slow down.
TRIMMING THE DRONE
To ensure that your drone can fly straight and level, you must calibrate its movements so
it remains stable both in takeoff and in flight. This is referred to as trimming.
Slowly raise the Speed Control Stick. Just as the drone lifts off the ground, use the trim
buttons to make adjustments.
If the nose leans right, press the Direction Trim to the left. If the
nose leans left, press the Direction Trim to the right.
If the nose leans forward, press the Forward/Backward Trim
down. If the nose leans backward, press the Forward/Backward
Trim up.
If the body leans right, press the Crab Trim to the left. If the body
leans left, press the Crab Trim to the right.
ENDING FLIGHT
To end your flight, bring the drone back to a safe position, then switch off the Controller
and drone. If you will not be flying again for several days, remove the batteries from the
Controller and store them in a cool, dry place until your next flight.
12 13
GYRO CALIBRATION
If the drone is experiencing difficulty flying or is behaving erratically, the gyroscopes may
need to be recalibrated. Do not attempt to do this while flying. Safely land the drone
before attempting this procedure.
Place the drone in a horizontal location. Pull both control sticks to the bottom left (45°) at
the same time for 2 seconds, then release both sticks. The drone will flash to start gyro
calibration. When the drone flashes for 2 seconds and then stops flashing, the calibration
is complete and the craft is ready to fly.
HEADLESS MODE
You can set the forward direction of your drone relative to your controller's position. The
end of the drone facing away from you will be "forward", regardless of the position of the
front and back of the drone.
To enter Headless Mode, place the drone in front of the Controller.
After take off, long-press the Headless Mode button for 2 seconds.
The drone will beep, indicating that it is now in headless mode.
To exit Headless Mode, press the Headless Mode button for 2 seconds.
NOTE: When using Headless Mode, the drone must be in front of the
Controller.
KEY RETURN
To bring the drone directly back to the Controller, press the Light
Control/Key Return button for 2 seconds. A beep will sound, the
drone's lights will flash, and the drone will return to the Controller.
To cancel the return, press the Light Control/Key Return button for 2
seconds.
NOTE: The Controller will not control the drone during the return.
14
STUNT PLAY
When the drone is in land and sea mode and you are operating at high speed (with the
