BEFORE YOU START
is hat DVR includes a rechargeable battery that will give you on average about 2 hours of
recording time on a single charge. We recommend you charge this unit for about 4-6 hours
each time (overnight the rst time).
It embeds an 8GB memory.Video resolution is 1920x1080P at 30fps, and audio is clear and
crisp.

To charge hat, use the included USB cable. Connect one end to usb port on hat and other to
USB port on computer or wall adapter with a USB port (see image below)

SETTING TIME STAMP
1. We highly recommend that aer charging your unit, set the time stamp feature to ensure
that your videos are properly stamped with the correct date and time.
1. Connect hat to computer: USB cable to hat then other end to computer
2. A window will pop up aer a few seconds, select OPEN FOLDER TO VIEW FILES. you
will either see a DCIM folder or nothing on memory.
If for some reason the pop up window does not show up, no worries. Simply fnd hat on com-
puter. Usually as REMOVABLE DISK. Click START >Computer

3. Find REMOVABLE DISK. Note that the removable disk letter may vary on your computer)
4. Next go back to TECH SUPPORT section where you got this user manual and locate time le
(TAG.TXT) and save it to this root section, right below DCIM folder. Please do not change le
name as your time le will not work.

5. Adjust time to reect your current date and time. Please maintain format EXACTLY. Just
change the number portions.
(Changing or moving anything from their present position in anyway will not enable your
time stamp to change. (If you feel like you changed it by accident and not sure what it was,
simply re-save the le from our website and start over!)

Where 2015 = year, 04=Month, 22=Day of month 10=HOUR of day, 20=MINUTE,
00=SECONDS Y=YES for time stamp to show on recording (or you can put N to remove
time stamp from video recordings.

6. Aer adjusting time, SAVE and close out of editor.
7. At this point we recommend you unplug your unit from computer, then turn it on and
record a test le to check that time stamp was properly done. If test le still does not show
proper time on test video, then please repeat process.

Begin by turning system switch to ON position. You will notice that this will turn on the clock
on the monitor.

VIDEO RECORDING
Dont forget system switch must be in ON position before starting/using remote controller!
1. Slide remote cover down to expose buttons. Press and hold A button until red indicator light
turns on. Release button. Hat will also vibrate continuously for about 2 seconds and stop. You are
now in standby mode.
PLEASE NOTE: e purpose of the vibrate function is to allow you to know what the hat
is doing when it is on your head since you will not be able to see the indicator light at that
point. So once you know the types of vibrations, you will know what the hat is up to when you
press the buttons on the remote controller!
4. To begin video recording, press (rmly) and release B button. Your hat will vibrate 1 time and
stop (if you are looking at the indicator light, it will blink twice and turn o). Your hat is now
recording HD video.
4a. If you want to turn on video recording in MOTION DETECTION mode, use the D button
instead of the B button. e same vibration and lighting will occur. the only dierence is that
recording will begin only if there is movement in the camera purview. Otherwise nothing will
record.
5. To stop recording, press same B button (or D button if in motion detection mode) on remote
once (rmly) and release. Hat will vibrate 2 times. Your recording has now been stopped and
saved, and indicator light has returned to steady blue.

RETRIEVING YOUR FILES
You may go into the folders noted above to view and copy your les.
You may also delete les from these folders.
NOTE: Mac users must empty their trash before disconnecting your watch aer deleting les.

port. is should allow you to nd and open DCIM folder to view and manage les.
Please COPY your les to your PC for best playback.
IMORTANT: Before connecting to your computer, make sure system switch is in
OFF position. Your les may not download if switch is not in OFF position before
connecting.
