2.2 Short Description
Collecting Content
Locally stored content or loca lly created content can be uploaded to the central repository. Where it is ava ilable for further use in
playlists, shows or rules. See Available file formats, page 9 for an ove rview of the possible formats.
Playlist creation
Content stored in the central rep ository can be comb ined in a play list. This playlist can be stored in the repository and further used
as single content.
Show creation
With the contents and playlists in the re pository a complete show can be c reated which c an be used in a sc
hedule or rule to be
displayed on a display.
Defining “rules”
A rule defines when contents, playlists and/or shows can be displayed on a display or cluster of displays when this specific rule is
applied to that display or cluster of displays.
Applying “rules”
Created rules ca n be applied to a specific display. T he content of that rule will be shown on that display starting from the entered
start time.

How to start up
1. G o to Start Programs and select Signam!cs Spectacular.

Content
Content is a combination of displayable data (e.g. JPEG, MPEG , etc.) and the information required by Signam!cs
Spectacular to handle the displayable data.

How to select via the right mouse button
1. Click on the Content button in the menu b ar. (image 3-2)
The right pane changes to the content pane.
2. Right click on the content tab.
A pop up menu appears. (image 3-3)
3. Select Create Content.

1. Click on Tools.
A drop down menu appear s. (image 3-5)
2. Select ContentManagement > Create Content.
The Content Creation window op ens (image 3-4).

Add and create content
1. Click o n Add (1). (image 3-6)
A browser window opens (2).
2. Browse to the desired file using the standard windows functionality (3).
Note: Multiple selection is possible. Push first on Ctrl before clicking on extra files.
A preview of the co ntent of the first selected file will be displayed in the browser w indow (4).
3. Click o n Open (5).
The complete path w ill be added to the location pane of the Content Cre ation window (6).
4. To a dd ex tra content, repeat procedure from step 1 as many times as you w ant to add extra content.

A preview of the content will be display together with a thumbnail, the c ontent forma t, the size, the width and height for images
and the duration for dynam ic content (4).

1. Click on the location path you want to remove (1). (image 3-8)
