Prior to First Use
Before the first use, please check if all the parts of the appliance are in good condition.
If not, please contact the supplier or manufacturer.
Parts Identification and Assembly Instructions
How to Use
Pour the required quantity of cold tap water into the reservoir). Do not exceed the
maximum level (refer to the markings on the inside of the reservoir). Do not add wine,
meat or vegetable stock or any other liquid in the reservoir, as all food will taste the
same due to the steam cooking the food.
Place the food in the steam bowl. Do not add herbs or spices before the end of

Place the lid on the steam bowl. Do not overfill the steam bowl, thereby blocking the
holes in the lid (the steam must be able to circulate and escape freely.)
Put the steam bowl on the base and build up as required as shown in Parts
Identification and Assembly Instructions
Plug the steam cooker in and set timer.
The indicator lamp will light when the timer is set.
Once cooking is complete, unplug the cooker. Remove the steam bowl carefully.
Gently lift off the lid to avoid burning yourself (steam can cause burns).
Cleaning
Remove the plug from the wall socket before cleaning.
Allow the cooker to cool down.
To clean the upper lid or the steam bowl, use hot soapy water and soft cloth. Do not
use abrasive products. Dishwasher-safe Trays. NO NOT PLACE THE BASE IN WATER
THIS CONTAINS ELCTRICAL COMPONENTS.
To clean the base, remove any liquid still in the reservoir by tipping up the base over a
sink. Clean the inside with a damp cloth and allow to dry. This process can be
repeated for the outside of the base.
Caution
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children or
infirm persons.
The socket used should be in accordance with the plug of the appliance.
Do not open the lid when cooking as escaping steam may cause burns.
The base is hot when cooking. Never touch it before it’s cooled down.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in removable container.

Do not use the cooker if the power cable is damaged.
The cooker must not be immersed in water for cleaning purposes.
Do not use the cooker for purposes other than that for which it is intended.
Do not use the cooker without water. Pour the required quantity of cold water in before
connecting to the power supply.
Check the mains voltage corresponds with the rating of the appliance before
operating.
Do not touch hot surfaces use handles or knobs.
Do not leave any appliance unattended while it is operating.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
as they may cause injuries.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of a table or counter or let it come into
contact with any hot surfaces.
Do not use this product for anything than its intended use. This appliance is for
household use only.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by an qualified person in order to
avoid danger.
U.K. PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BROWN - LIVE (L)
BLUE - NEUTRAL (N)
GREEN/YELLOW - EARTH (E)
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond
with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK
The BROWN wire is the LIVE and must be connected to the terminal that is
marked with the letter L or coloured RED.
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal
which is marked E or coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.
Always ensure that the cord grip is positioned and securely fastened.
WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
If a 13A (BS1363) fused plug is used it must be fitted with a 13A fuse. If in doubt
consult a qualified electrician.

This product is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase when the
appliance is used solely for domestic purposes. For commercial use the product is
guaranteed for 90 days from the date of purchase.
The guarantee is valid against mechanical or electrical defects if the product is used
in accordance with the instructions and provided that it is not connected to an
unsuitable electricity supply or dismantled, interfered with or damaged in any way.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE RETAIN THIS WARRANTY
Please ask your retailer to either stamp this warranty or simply attach your
store receipt. Keep this warranty somewhere safe. DO NOT SEND TO PRIMA.
This guarantee in no way affects your rights under statutory law.
IF THE PRODUCT MALFUNCTIONS DURING ITS WARRANTY PERIOD IT MUST
BE RETURNED TO THE RETAILER FROM WHOM IT WAS PURCHASED FOR
REPLACEMENT. IF YOU BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT VIA MAIL ORDER, PLEASE
KEEP ALL THE DOCUMENTATION THAT CAME WHEN THE UNIT WAS
DELIVERED.
