motor is on. Make sure that the tower is fitted on the posts in the base properly.
4
HOW TO USE
Plug the Chocolate Fondue Fountain into a wall socket and switch on at the mains.
On the Chocolate Fondue Fountain turn the switch on the right (WARM) to switch the heater
on.
Let the unit warm up for at least 3 - 5 minutes before adding the melted chocolate.
PREPARING THE CHOCOLATE
The quickest way to prepare chocolate for the fountain is by melting the chocolate in the
microwave first.
The chocolate needs to be completely melted and of thin consistency to allow proper flow.
For your fondue fountain you can purchase chocolate that has been specifically formulated for
this fountain. We highly recommend this chocolate and you will get the best results out of your
fondue fountain by using this type of chocolate. It is very easy and quick to use.
Place 900 grams of the pre-formulated chocolate in a microwavable bowl and place in
the microwave on high for 1 minute.
After 1 minute take out and stir thoroughly.
Place back in the microwave on high for a further 1 minute. Check and stir again.
If need place back in the microwave on 30 second intervals until completely melted.
The pre-formulated chocolate can be purchased at www.buyprima.com
Note: Chocolate burns very easily; keep an eye on the chocolate when melting.
If you want to experiment with your own favorite brand of chocolate the table on page 6 gives
instructions, on a selection of chocolate, on how to achieve the correct consistency for the
perfect results with the fondue fountain.
Once the chocolate is completely melted carefully pour the melted chocolate in the bowl at the
base of the tower on the Chocolate Fondue Fountain.
Once all the melted chocolate has been transferred to the base, turn the left switch (MOTOR)
to the ON position, so the motor and the heater are running at the same time. DO NOT switch
the motor on without the melted chocolate in place.
CREATING THE CHOCOLATE FOUNDUE FOUNTAIN EFFECT
You will hear the motor working and the melted chocolate should be drawn under the tower
and carried up the tower by the auger. Chocolate should then begin to flow from the top of the
tower and filter over the sides evenly to the next tier and so on until a veil has formed.
NOTE: The CHOCOLATE FONDUE FOUNTAIN must be level to insure proper sheeting of
the chocolate – adjust the two front legs of the fondue fountain until the chocolate is flowing
evenly around the fountain.
Avoid food pieces dropping into chocolate in base to prevent clogging the flow of chocolate.

The above timings for melting the chocolate are based on an 800W microwave oven on high.
Please adjust the melting time according to the wattage of the microwave according to the
manufactures instructions.
Keep a close eye on the chocolate when melting in a microwave.
We do not recommend melting for any more than one minute at a time, as chocolate burns
very easy and will become unusable once burnt.
If you favour melting the chocolate on a hob instead of in a microwave carefully place a heat
resistant bowl over a pan of hot water (not boiling as this will burn the chocolate) and stir
continually until the chocolate has melted. Add the oil the same as you would as if melted in
the microwave.
We recommend for the best results and coverage using the, pre-formulated chocolate, which
can be purchase online at www.buyprima.com
This has been specially formulated to work with the Chocolate Fondue Fountain and using this
chocolate will display the best results. The pre-formulated chocolate is all ready to use and
already has oil added. Simply melt in the microwave and use!
If you feel that you need to add extra oil please add a small amount at a time.
The above are just guidelines, your own judgment will be needed when trying out chocolate
that is not listed on the table above.
Remember the lower the coca solids the more oil you need to use!
NOTE: Every time you use the fondue fountain you will need to adjust the legs at the front of
the machine to ensure that it is level. You will also need to do this each time you use a
different type of chocolate due to the different consistency.
If you have followed the instructions above for melting the chocolate and it is still not covering
the tiers correctly, i.e. leaving gaps at the bottom tier, you will need to adjust the legs of the
fountain until all gaps are closed. Or try adding a small amount of extra vegetable oil to the
chocolate at the base as the chocolate maybe to thick.

CLEANING
Make sure the unit is unplugged before cleaning. Allow parts to COOL to the touch. Tower,
auger, and base can get VERY HOT.
Before first use and continuing after each use, be sure to wash the tower, and auger
thoroughly. You can wash the Tower and Auger in the dishwasher. DO NOT WASH THE
MOTOR BASE IN THE DISHWASHER THIS CONTAINS ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.
To make cleaning of the CHOCOLATE FONDUE FOUNTAIN easier, carefully remove the
tower and auger (after cooling), wipe off the remaining chocolate with paper towels. Leave
to soak in warm, soapy water and then rinse and dry.
Carefully pour out as much remaining chocolate from the base bowl as possible. Use a
damp sponge or cloth to wipe clean the remainder and to clean the outside of the unit,
wipe with a non-abrasive towel to dry. NOTE: DO NOT IMMERSE BASE IN WATER,
THIS HOLDS ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.
DO NOT POUR OUT EXCESSS OR LEFTOVER CHOCOLATE DOWN THE DRAIN OR
IN A TOILET. POUR IN PLASTIC BAG OR DISPOSABLE CONTAINER THEN INTO
THE BIN.
