Safety instructions
Before operating the appliance, please read this manual carefully and retain it for further
reference.
Before cleaning the appliance, it has to be switched off and unplugged from the power outlet.
Wipe the appliance with a soft damp cloth.
Do not use harsh cleansers or aerosols for cleaning. The type label may not be replaced.
Do not use attachments unless recommended by the manufacturer as they may affect the
functionality of the appliance and result in the risk of fire, electric shock or injury.
Never install the appliance in areas exposed to water or other liquids.
The appliance has to be installed in a safe and stable location which is able to carry the weight of
the appliance. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the appliance to fall
causing serious injury to persons and damage to objects.
Openings in the appliance, if any, are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the
appliance and to protect if from overheating. These openings must not be covered or blocked.
Please make sure that the appliance does not overheat.
The appliance should only be operated from the type of power source indicated on the marking
label. If you are not sure of the type of power supplied at the installation location, please contact
your local dealer.
An appliance which is powered through a polarized plug (a plug with one blade wider than the
other) will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert
the plug into the outlet, try reversing the plug. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized
plug.
If the appliance is powered through a grounding-type plug, the plug will only fit into a grounding-
type power outlet. This is a safety feature. If your outlet does not have the grounding plug
receptacle, contact your local electrician.
Route power cords and cables in a manner to protect them from damage by being walked on or
pinched by items places upon or against them.
For protection of the appliance during a lightning storm or when it is left unattended and unused
for a longer period, unplug the appliance from the wall outlet. Disconnect any antennas or cable
systems that may be connected to the appliance. This will prevent damage to the appliance due to
lightning or power-line surges.
Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in a risk of fire or electric
shock.
Never insert items into the openings of the appliance. They may touch parts under electric current
which may cause an electric shock.

In case of any operating interruption or a complete operating failure please switch off the
appliance and disconnect it from the wall outlet. Never attempt to service or repair the appliance
yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
When replacement parts are required, be sure that the service technician uses replacements parts
specified by the manufacturer or that have the same characteristics as the original part.
Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock or other hazards.
Upon completion of any service or repairs to the appliance, ask the service technician to perform
safety checks to verify that the appliance is in proper operating condition.
The appliance should only be installed by qualified service personnel and has to comply with local
specifications and regulations.
Never point the camera at an object with a high degree of luminance. Bright vertical or horizontal
lines can result in a distortion (outshine) of the entire image on the monitor. This artifact is not an
error but a particularity of semiconductor CCDs when they are directly exposed to a powerful light
source.
At the installation site, the camera has to be adjusted to the given light conditions (see OSD).
Please respect the local legal regulations on waste if you need to dispose of discarded appliances.
This symbol means that electrical appliances need to be disposed of properly and not
simply with unsorted household refuse. Please respect local regulations on waste
disposal.
About this user manual
This manual aims at assisting the user on how to operate camera SNC-637ID.
This manual is subject to rigid quality control. However, no guarantee can be given that

1.2.2 Connector Description
DC 12V Power Input : The SNC-637ID Camera has a port that can output DC12V
for the analog camera module.
Digital Output
Digital Input
Video Output : The SNC-637ID Camera supports one analog video out of
composite signal with BNC connector.
Ethernet Port : Standard RJ45 connector. Supporting NWAY.
Reset Button
Step 1 : Switch off SNC-637ID Camera by disconnecting the power cable.
Step 2 : Using a suitable pointed object, press and continue to hold the Reset
Button depressed. While continuing to hold the reset button depressed, reconnect
the power cable.
Step 3 : Keep holding the reset button depressed around 6 seconds, release the
reset button. The unit will start up with factory default settings.

2. INSTALLATION
2.1 Installation
It explains under the condition of using Static IP between User s PC and the SNC-637ID.
To install, the SNC-637ID should connect to the PC directly or to Local Network.
1) Connect the SNC-637ID to the PC by LAN cable (Cross Cable)
2) Supply the power to the SNC-637ID (Allowed to use Regulated Power Supply)
3) After 2minute of power supplying, the booting is finished by checking LINK LED-On.
2.2 Video Check
Basic network setting value of SNC-637ID is to be ;
IP Address : 192.168.1.168
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1
To connect SNC-637ID inusers PC, change the setting value of PC network environment.

Set IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gate-way of User s PC with 192.168.1.50,
255.255.255.0 and 192.168.1.1 as shown on [Pic. 2-1].

Run Web Browser as [2-2] and input 192.168.1.168 in URL and click Enter ,then [2-3]is
to be shown. In case [2-3] does not appear, re-set Hardware (Reset Button in Camera)
to reboot and run Web Browser, input 192.168.1.168 in URL line and click Enter .

Message Window [2-4] appear soon, click Yes .
If click No , Web Viewer doesnt work. .
Upon installation, Web Viewer [Pic. 2-5] appear and image of Camera is to be seen.

2.3 DIP Switch Setup
Before installing the camera, set up the DIP switch to configure the camera ID and
the communication protocol.
Camera ID Setup
ID numbers of cameras are set up with binary numbers. See the
examples shown below.

The camera ID range is “1~255”. Camera ID must not be “0”!
The factory default of the camera ID is “1”.
Match the camera ID with the Cam ID setting of your DVR or
Controller to control the camera.
If you are connecting a single camera to a controller, terminate the
camera. When connecting more than one camera to a single
controller, terminate the last camera on the communication line.
The last camera means the camera farthest in cable length from
the controller.
Note that the total length of the communication cable betweena
controller and the camera(s) on the same communication line
must be less than 1.2Km.

Match the camera protocol with the camera protocol in the setting of your
DVR or controller to control the camera.
Adjust the DIP switch after turning off the camera. If you changed
thecamera protocol by changing the DIP S/W, the change will be effective
after you reboot the camera.
The factory default protocol is “Pelco-D, 9600 bps”.

3. Basic Setting
3.1 Check Network and Installation Type
This Chapter is for basic setting of SNC-637ID. To install Hardware of SNC-637ID Network
Camera, basic understanding of Network is required. Please refer to Chapter 6 in case
knowledge of Network Environment is required.. There is 2 ways to install Hardware, The
one is to install SNC-637ID without IP sharing Device under Cable Modem or Leased
Line, the other one is to install SNC-637ID under IP sharing Device , which is required
necessarily under PPPoE environment, and even under Leased Line or Cable Modem. The
default IP Address of SNC-637ID is preset to 192.168.1.168 and Subnet Mask to
255.255.255.0 and Gateway to 192.168.1.1 in ex-factory. This explanation is based upon
default value of ex-factory.
Caution 1 : Check Video before installation, on 2. Install and Video Check .
Caution 2 : In case using IP sharing Device, only Global IP is available.
Caution 3 : SNC-637ID does not support PPPoE. IP Sharing Device is required to
connect to SNC-637ID under PPPoE.

3.2 Installation Without IP sharing device (Router)
3.2.1 Static IP Setup
1) After checking Video in Video Check , go to the next step.
2) Connect SNC-637ID to PC with LAN Cable (Cross Cable).
3) Cable connection and Network Setup should be same as shown in 2. Install and
Video Check .
4) Run Web Browser and input 192.168.1.168 in URL and click Enter, then [Pic. 3-1]
will appear.

5) Put admin in ID and Password line, click Login , then [3-1] Administrator's Page will
be shown. (ID, Password of SNC-637ID is presetas admin/9999 in Administrator s
Page. Change Administrator s ID and Password in General Setting of 4. Expert
Setting

6) Click Network at menu. And then click WAN. Pic. 3-3 will be followed

7) In WAN Setting of [3-4], and input IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, HTTP Port
according to Network environment to connected SNC-637ID to.
8) For setting of DNS , input DNS Address to fit with Network Environment to set. Use
DNS value normally set in PC.
9) DNS Address should be necessarily input.

10) In case of installation without IP sharing device under Static IP, tick off Enable
DHCP .
11) Click „Submit‟ Button of [3-3] to save setting value.
12) Click „OK‟ upon appearing of IP Change Window of [3-4].

13) Remove LAN Cable (Cross Cable) connected between SNC-637ID and PC.
14) Connect SNC-637ID to Network with LAN Cable (Straight Cable).
15) Connect PC to Network with LAN Cable (Straight Cable)..
16) Set up IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gate way of PC according to Network
environment.
17) Check
Run WebBrowser on PC, input IP address set in SNC-637ID onto URLand
click Enter ,
Check if IP Setting is correct or not, referring to Video Check
In case Video is seen, SNC-637ID has been correctly set up.
In case Video is not seen, check whether there may be confliction ofIP in
Network, and re-check the set value of Network environment of SNC-637ID,
and Network environment of User s PC.

3.3 Installation with IP Sharing Device (Router)
1) After checking Video in 2. Installand Video Check , then go to the next step.
2) Connect SNC-637ID and PC with LAN Cable (Cross Cable).
3) Cable Connection and Network Setting should be done same as per 2.
Install and Video Check .
4) Go to Network Setting Page of Administrators Page as per 4), 5), 6) of Static IP
Setup.
5) InWAN Setting of [3-3], input IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, HTTP Port
according to Network environment to connected SNC-637ID to.
6) For setting of DNS Server , input DNS Address to fit with Network Environment to
set. Use DNS value normally set in PC.
7) In case of installation without IP sharing device under Static IP, tick off Enable
DHCP . Click Submit Button of [3-6] to save the set value.

8) Click OK upon appearing of IP Change Window of [3-10].

9) It is connected to IP newly set up, in 20 seconds after window.
10) Check Video of SNC-637ID referring to 2. Install and Video Check as soon as it is
connected to IP newly set up.
11) Remove LAN Cable (Cross Cable) connected between SNC-637ID and PC.
12) Connect SNC-637ID to Network with LAN Cable (Straight Cable).
13) Connect PC to Network with LAN Cable (Straight Cable).
14) Port-Forward the port designated to use SNC-637ID, in IP Sharing Device. Refer
to manual of IP Sharing Device for details.
15) Check 1 (local check)
Run Web Browser and input IP address of SNC-637ID in URL and click Enter. If
you changed HTTP Port, you must input http://IP Address:Port Number . For
example, If you set IP address of SNC-637ID to 192.168.10.88 and changed Web
Server port to 81, you must input http://192.168.10.88:81.
16) Check 2 (Check from outside)
After registration of SNC-637ID in Service Server (refer to Use of Service Server of
5. Basic Use, connect to SNC-637ID by Domain Name (Server Name) allocated to
SNC-637ID.
For example, run Web Browser and input Domain Name allocated to SNC-637ID in
URL. In http://IPDD6155SD.speco4u.net , IPDD6155SD is to be Name of Server
registered in Service Server by user.
If the initial page is shown, check Video of SNC-637ID referring to 2. Install and
Video Check . If Video is seen, set up is properly done.

4. Expert Setting
After registration of SNC-637ID in Service Server (refer to Use of Service Server of 5.
Basic Use,connect to SNC-637ID by Domain Name (Server Name) allocated to SNC-637ID.
(For example, run Web Browser and input Domain Name allocated to SNC-637ID in URL. In
http://speco4u.net, SNC-637ID is to be Name of Server registered in Service Server by
user)
Click Administrators Pageon Initial Page of SNC-637ID, login Page of [4-1] appears.
Put admin in ID and Password line, click Login, then [4-2] Administrator's Page will be
shown. (ID, Password of SNC-637ID is preset as admin/9999 in Administrator s Page.
Change Administrator s ID and Password in General Setting of 4. Expert Setting. )
