In case of doubt, please contact SKOV A/S.

IMPORTANT!
Notes concerning alarm systems
Breakdowns, malfunctions or faulty settings may cause substantial damage and financial losses when regulat-
ing and controlling the climate in a livestock house. It is therefore essential to install a separate, independent
alarm system that monitors the house climate concurrently with the climate and production controller. According
to EU-directive No. 98/58/EU, an alarm system must be installed in all mechanically ventilated houses.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the product liability clause of general terms and conditions
of sale and delivery specifies that an alarm system must be installed.

1 Product description
DA 1200
Wall
Fan
Pre-filter
Main filter
The filter box for wall inlet has been especially designed for use with the DA 1200 wall inlet series. In each filter
box an energy-efficient fan is mounted which presses the air through the filters and into the house by means of
positive pressure. The positive pressure in the livestock house minimizes the risk of unfiltered air entering the
house through leaks, doors, windows, etc.
The infection risk of airborne diseases such as PRRS, Mycoplasma, etc. is significantly reduced when the venti-
lation air is filtered. Two filters are installed in each filter box. A pre-filter (MERV 8/G4) and a main filter (MERV
15/F9 or MERV 16/E10).
The purpose of the pre-filter is to protect the main filter and it must be replaced after 6-12 months depending on
the conditions.
The main filter is made from fiberglass and efficiently re-
moves sources of infection from the air flow. The filter is de-
signed for use in farming applications, such as pig farms.
The rigid design of the filter and the pleated media package
ensure the supply of the required air quality when used in
ventilation systems in pig houses. The filter media repel wa-
ter, oil, hydrocarbons and salt, while the plastic frame is cor-
rosion resistant. The efficiency of the fiberglass media is in-
dependent of electrostatic charge and maintains its efficiency
over time, in contrast to electrostatically charged synthetic fil-
ters where efficiency decreases as they are in use in pig
houses. The main filter must be replaced approx. every third
year depending on the conditions.
The filter box may be installed in new houses or retrofitted in existing houses with DA 1200 or similar wall inlets.

3.2 Remove door with fan
To ease the installation of the filter box, the door with fan
must be removed before mounting on the wall. Save the
four screws and nuts for mounting the door again.
3.3 Dimensions for marking template
If several filter boxes are to be mounted it is an advan-
tage to make a template.
Make the template according to this drawing.

4 Installation Guide
4.1 Electrical connection
Installation, servicing and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment must be carried out by quali-
fied personnel in compliance with the applicable national and international standard EN 60204-1
and any other EU standards that are applicable in Europe.
The installation of a power supply isolator is required for each motor and power supply to facilitate
voltage-free work on the electrical equipment. The power supply isolator is not included.
4.2 Pressure switch for filter box
Place the pressure switch (preset from the factory) next
to the filter box.
Lead the pressure switch tube 10 mm into the screw fit-
ting.
Fasten the pressure switch tube and lead it into the pres-
sure switch box.
A two-core cable is lead from the pressure switch box
through a connection box to a DOL 2400 input.
When using several pressure switches, they must be
connected in series to a DOL 2400 input.

5 Maintenance instructions
Remember to shut off the fan at the isolator prior to maintenance and cleaning.
We recommend replacing the pre-filter every 6 months and the main filter every third year.
5.1 Cleaning
Clean the fan at regular intervals to allow unobstructed air passage, e.g. by means of compressed air.
To ensure sufficient air passage, exchange the pre-filters. If the air passage is still insufficient, the main filters
should also be exchanged.
Clean the product with a cloth that has been wrung out almost dry in water and avoid using:
high-pressure cleaner
• solvents
corrosive/caustic agents
5.2 Recycling/Disposal
Products suitable for recycling are marked with a pictogram.
It must be possible for customers to deliver the products to local collection sites/recycling stations in accordance
with local instructions. The recycling station will then arrange for further transport to a certified plant for reuse,
recovery and recycling.
