3 IR Extender/Blaster Pinout Requirements
3.1 IR Extender Description
The EF1K supports IR pass-through and auto-senses when a blaster or a receiver is
installed. This can be used to extend the reach of infrared (IR) controls such as a
standard remote control for a TV, DVD player or Blu-ray player.
The blaster and receiver units supported will need a standard 3.5mm stereo connector
as depicted in this diagram:
Note:
Please ensure that the IR blaster and receiver units operate at 12VDC. Devices that are
5VDC or 3VDC may be damaged if installed as the EF1K unit injects a 12VDC signal.
