Functions

Bluetooth setup
Pairing a Bluetooth device for the first time
1. Turn on the unit by pressing the ‘Power’ button
2. The ‘Pairing Indicator’ will flash blue quickly
Note: When pairing, remain within 3 feet of the unit.
3. Using the controls on your Bluetooth device, select the ‘Podium’ in your Bluetooth settings to pair
Note: If your device requests a password, enter ‘0000’.
Note: Refer to your device’s user manual for instructions on pairing and connecting Bluetooth devices.
4. When successfully paired and connected, the ‘Pairing Indicator’ will display a solid blue light and the
unit will beep
Note: After initial pairing, the unit will stay paired unless it is unpaired manually by the user or erased
due to a reset of the device.
Note: If your device should become unpaired, follow the directions in the ‘Re-pairing or pairing new
devices’ section.
Re-pairing or pairing new devices
1. Turn on the unit by pressing the ‘Power’ button
2. Press and hold the ‘Pair’ button until the ‘Pairing Indicator’ flashes blue
Note: When pairing, remain within 3 feet of the unit.
3. Using the controls on your Bluetooth device, select ‘Podium’ in your Bluetooth settings to pair
Note: If your device requests a password, enter the default password ‘0000’.
Note: Refer to your device’s user manual for instructions on pairing and connecting Bluetooth devices.

unit will beep

3.5 mm audio input
Using the 3.5 mm audio input
1. Plug one end of a 3.5 mm audio input cable (not included) into the 3.5 mm audio input on the unit
2. Plug the other end of the cable into the audio output/headphone output on an MP3 player or other
audio source
3. Press the ‘Power’ button to turn the unit on
4. Audio played through the connected device will now be heard through the speaker
Note: Any audio being played through a connected Bluetooth device will cease once the 3.5 mm audio
source is connected.
Using Bluetooth
Playing audio wirelessly
1. Follow the instructions in the ‘Pairing a Bluetooth device’ section
2. Use the controls on your device to select a track
3. To play, pause or skip the selected track, use the controls on your device or press the
‘Pair/Play/Pause’ or ‘Skip’ buttons
4. Audio played through the connected Bluetooth device will now be heard through the speakers
5. The volume can be adjusted on both your device and the Podium
Charging
Charging a device
1. Make sure the Podium is plugged into the mains
2. Using the appropriate USB charging cable (micro USB to USB and mini USB to USB cables included),
connect one end to the device and the other to one of the two USB ports on the unit
Note: Before charging, refer to your device’s user manual for manufacturer’s required charging
amperage as well as determining the appropriate cable for your device.
3. Your device will now be charging
Note: Up to two devices can be charged at the same time.
Note: When using an iPod, iPhone or iPad, use the USB cable that was included with your device.

Care for your Podium
Please DON’T
• Get the Podium wet
• Drop the Podium as this will invalidate your warranty
• Open up the Podium. There are no user serviceable parts inside
• Use any other mains adaptor than the one supplied
• Expose the Podium to extreme temperatures or rapid changes of hot to cold or vice versa

• Clean the Podium with a soft dry cloth and no detergents
