We are craftspeople. We are musicians. We are KitSound
And we all commit ourselves to achieving one shared goal: Bringing
people closer to their music. By truly understanding music we stay true
to its craft. Pure, rich, incredible sound. We’ll settle for nothing less.
4 5
At KS we believe your music deserves to be showcased on great
quality products that don’t cost the earth. We might not all share the
same taste in music (the ferocious disputes on music forums prove
that), but whether it’s Irish folk, death metal or any number of obscure
genres which seem to be multiplying by the minute, the artists
responsible for connecting with you through their craft have bared
their souls to do so. And we think that’s worth celebrating.

Charging the battery
The Ignite’s built-in rechargeable lithium battery should only be charged when
the unit is switched off. Connect one end of the USB power cable to the charging
port of the Ignite and connect the other end to your PC or USB mains adaptor.
The battery will start charging.
It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge the battery
Whilst charging, the LED will flash red
When fully charged, the LED will turn off
A fully charged unit has up to 7 hours of playback time
If the Ignite is paired to an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, the battery level of the
speaker will be showing on the top notification bar.
LED indicator
There is an LED light on the front of the Ignite. Please see below for what each
LED indication means.
- LED off: Power OFF/Sleep mode (if after 10 minutes no music input from
Bluetooth device)/Full charge
- Solid blue: Power ON (Bluetooth not paired/Aux mode)
- Flashing blue/red: Pairing mode
- Quick flashing red with tone sound: Low battery level
- Flashing red: Charging
- Flashing blue: Device paired (blue light will stop flashing after 3 minutes
even when connected and playing)
Note: If there is no Bluetooth connection after 25 minutes, the Ignite will
automatically turn off. Simply switch the Ignite OFF and then ON to turn back
on again.

Bluetooth pairing
1. Switch the power button to the ON position, then press and hold the
multi-function button
for 5 seconds and the indicator light will
ash red and blue alternately.
2. Search for the system with your Bluetooth device and you should see
“Ignite”. Enter the password ’0000’ if requested.
3. When the pairing is successful, the Bluetooth indicator light will flash
blue slowly.
4. The Ignite can hold six paired devices in its memory. You can pair more
than six devices, but the memory will never contain more than six.
When the memory is full and an additional device is paired, the first device
that was paired is deleted from the memory and replaced with the newly
paired device.
Note:
If you want to clear the memory of all paired devices, turn the Ignite ON then
press and hold the Vol- and Vol+ for about 5 seconds. The light will then flash
red and blue, meaning the memory has been cleared. The Ignite is then in
pairing mode, ready for a new device.

sound. Please follow these instructions to pair two Ignites together:
1. Turn on both Ignite speakers
2. Put both speakers into stereo pairing mode by holding the

3. The speakers will beep to indicate that they are pairing to each other
4. After about 20 seconds the light will flash blue slowly
5. Put one Ignite into pairing mode. This Ignite will then be the master speaker
6. Search for the Ignite with your Bluetooth device and you should see
“Ignite”. Enter the password ’0000’ if requested
7. The Ignites will then be connected to your device and will play in stereo
Note:
If your device has previously been paired to either or both of the Ignite speakers,
it is advisable to delete them from your list of Bluetooth devices before
carrying out the stereo pairing procedure above.

Using the speaker
In Bluetooth mode, volume change is done on both the speaker and the device
you are playing from. In aux mode, volume and play/pause functions can only
be done on the device you are playing from.
1. (Vol+) Press + on the speaker
2. (Vol-) Press - on the speaker
3. (Play/Pause) Press the
(Your device will require AVRCP Bluetooth
profile for this function to work)
Other information
Your device will have an internal amplifier and if it is playing digital files like
MP3s it will also have an integrated DAC (Digital Audio Converter). If you turn
the volume up to 100%, your device will be sending a distorted signal. To avoid
this, and to get the best quality from the speaker, we recommend that you do
not run your device any higher than 95% volume. Some devices output higher
than others so you may need to reduce the volume if you experience distortion.
14 15
Hands-free
When you have an incoming call, the music will pause.
Answer the call: Press the once
End the call: Press the once
Call waiting: Touch and release the twice in succession to put
the first call on hold and answer the incoming call. Repeat to switch
back to the rst call
Note:
You can also use your mobile phone controls for the above functions.
Aux-in
Use a 3.5 mm aux cable to connect your Bluetooth speaker through the AUX
socket on the back of the unit.
Note:
When you plug the 3.5 mm aux cable into the AUX socket, the current
Bluetooth connection will disconnect. When you unplug the aux cable,
the Bluetooth connection will resume.
