(A) Move
hairpin clip to
inside hole.
(B) Insert
carriage bolt
and tighten
with wing nut.
Repeat on
opposite side.
(A) Lift handle
to extended
position.
(B) Tighten

(D) Tighten rope
guide wing knob.
Use cable
tie to secure
cable to lower

Fill tank with gas to within 1/2 inch of top of tank.
Open fuel valve (a) and activate choke by moving
lever to the right until it stops (b). Choke does not
need to be activated for warm engine starting.

Fill engine with oil to upper limit of dipstick. Check oil
level by inserting (and not threading) dipstick into ller
neck.

Depress blade control handle and hold. The choke will
move slowly to OFF position – immediately proceed to step
9 below.
Pull starter rope with quick, full arm stroke. If engine
does not start after ten seconds of repeated pulls, wait
a few minutes and repeat steps 7b through 9.
