Secure handle by tightening knobs as shown.

Tighten rope guide wing nut.

Unfold handle into operating position.

Hold blade control handle against upper handle.

Slowly slip starter rope into rope guide as shown.

Read and understand all instruction, warning and danger labels.

Push primer ﬁve times for ﬁrst-time

startup and cold starts.

Fill tank with gas to within 1/2 inch of top of tank.

Set depth blade to highest position. Depress blade

control handle and hold. Release handle to stop engine.

Fill engine with entire contents of oil

bottle supplied with your mower.

Pull starter rope with quick, full arm stroke.

If engine does not start after ﬁve pulls,

repeat steps seven thru nine.
