14 Firmware update
Enter system settingÆfirmware setting in setting “M”; press “M” to enter, select “OK” and press “M” to
confirm. Prompt “Please insert USB” is indicated and connect USB wire to the PC according to the indication.
The movable disc icon appears in the right bottom of computer and can be updated. Select and operate
firmware update tool Consumer.exe, open the item and select Rock*.rfw, and press “begin record”.
After update, pop out USB, dial the switch to ON and then insert USB again, the system begin to initialize. It
shows online interface after complete the initialization, double click Movable Disk and pop up Formation,
click OK.
15. Video converter tool
1. After the converter tool is installed in PC, run Start >Program >AVI Converter, PC display pop up video
converter window at the time.
2. Click to add converter files.
3. Select 320*240 resolution, select source files, select save target path, select each parameter settings
according to the requirements, click Save after complete the selection.
4. Click Start to convert the files, begin to convert video files; after the conversion, copy the generated AVI
files to MP3 player and you can play video files.
5. If FAILURE prompt appears in the conversion, please make sure that PC has correctly installed Windows
Media Play 9.0 or above version and Windows Direct X9.0 or above version to ensure that computer can
normally play the converted video files.
Note: due to multi compression format of audio and video files and multi coding formats (part of coding
format are not released to public), the video conversion soft attached with this player does not guarantee
correct conversion of all formats of audio and video files. All are subject to actual operation. Meanwhile,
format change may lead to sound and picture insimultaneity when playing AVI files.
Playing duration indication: the playing duration in this manual refers to that the product is operated in allowed
condition: volume is level 20, audio play is standard EQ mode, MP3 music’s bit rate is 128 kbps, backlight is
off and video conversion quality while playing video is medium quality. Due to different operation condition,
actual playing time may be different from the standard playing duration. Sorry for any inconvenience incurred
therefrom.
16. Trouble shooting
1. The player does not display after pressing power on key PLAY.
Failure cause and troubleshooting: Power switch of the player is not ON status or electricity is insufficient.
