Button icon functions and operation

The play would turn off automatically after about 3 seconds without operation

PLAY

Set the power button to ON and press and hold “PLAY” key to open the player.

Press and hold “PLAY” key in any state to turn off the player.

Press the button to play and pause music

FF Press the button and slide down to “FW” to select by rolling down or forward

quickly

Press the button and slide up to “FF” to select by rolling up or backward quickly

VOL+ Press and hold the button to increase volume, press under file list to select file

downwardly

Press and hold the button to decrease volume, press under file list to select file

REC

Press REC in the interface of “prepare for recording” to start recording. Press

REC to start A-B repeating when playing music

Lock/unlock

Press and hold the two buttons simultaneously in the interface of Main “M” to

lock or unlock.

Note: in operation, “press” refers to 1 second; “press and hold” refers to above 2 seconds

3. Play Music

In the main “M”, Press “+/-” or slide FF/FW to select music and press “M” to enter. It is shown as in the

following picture.

1. Volume control

Press and hold +/ - to adjust the volume till reaching satisfactory volume

and effect. Release the button to stop adjusting.

2 Play List

Press “M” in the music playing interface to enter play list; and press “VOL+/VOL-” or slide “FF/FW” to select

the file; press “REC” button to go back to the previous “M”.

Press “M” to enter music playing state after selecting the file.

3 A-B repeat (repeat mode is invalid in record playing state)

Press REC once and set up starting point of repeat in music play state, A- is displayed; Press REC once and set

up ending point of repeat, A-B is displayed, and cyclic repeating starts; Press REC once and exit from repeat

mode; button operation is void in pause state.

4 Lyric synchronization

Download lyrics from internet in LRC format and the same name with the music. Put them under the same

“M” to show lyrics while playing music simultaneously.

4. Play Video

Select VIDEO PLAY in the main “M”, Press “M” to enter VIDEO

PLAY, enter video file list of video play, Press VOL+ /VOL- or slide

“FF/FW” to select the files, Press “M” to enter video play interface after

selecting the file.

5. Radio

1.Search radio station manually

In the Preset interface in the radio, press “M” to enter radio “M”.

Press " + / - " to select Manual Search..

Press “M " to enter he Manual

Search Interface. Press “VOL+/ VOL-” or slide “FF/FW” button to

select your favorite frequency and press " M" to go back to radio “M”. Select saving and press

“M ". The saved channel will be popped out. Select preset channel you want. Press “M” and the radio station

saved will be popped out, press “M" to make confirm

2． Radio Station Auto Search

Press “M " to enter radio “M” as shown in the pictures Press “+/ - to

select auto mode. Press “M" to enter automatic search and save radio stations.

When the radio station search is finished, it will return to the preset radio station

Interface automatically and begin to play radio programs;

3． Delete radio station

Select deletion. Press “M " to enter and select the radio station to delete and press " M " to make confirm of

deletion

4．Volume control

Press " + / - " to control volume till satisfactory volume and effect. Release the button to stop adjustment.

5. FM recording

In the FM preset interface, press “REC” button to enter FM recording preparation. Preset “REC” button to start

recording and press the button again to pause recording. Press and hold “REC” button to save and return to the

next recording preparation interface. Press and hold “M” button to save recorded files and return to FM preset

interface.

6 Browse Pictures

Select Picture Browse in the main “M”, Press “M” to enter Picture Browse.

Firs enter picture files list and then Press VOL+/VOL- or slide “FF/FW” to

select files. Press “M” to enter full display picture browse interface

after selecting the file.

The player has auto picture browse function. First enter setting and enter auto browse setting options.

Select pictures, and set time parameters of auto browse. Return from setting and enter picture browse interface

again. Press “PLAY” button to browse pictures automatically.

7 E-book

Select E-Book in the main “M”, press “M” to enter E-Book. First

enter file list of E-Book and then Press +/- button or slide “FF/FW”

button to select the files.

Press “M” to enter E-Book reading interface after selecting

the file. Press +/- to page up or page down.

1) set book mark

press and hold “REC” button while reading E-book to pop out book mark saving “M”. Select position for

saving book mark(able to set three book mark positions) and press “M” to confirm, i.e to save current book

mark position. Press “M” again to return from the current reading E-book. Press “REC” button to pick up

book mark position. Press “M” to confirm and continue from previous browse position.

2) auto browse

This player has e-book auto browse function, detailed operation please see picture auto browse

3) auto save

When return from current e-book files, current browse position would be saved automatically. When enter next

time, browse would start from previous saved position.

8 Recording:

Select Recording in the main “M”, Press “M” to enter Recording interface.

1) Recording

Press REC to start recording in the recording preparation interface. Press REC again to pause the recording.

Press and hold REC to save and enter next recording preparation interface, press and hold

“M” to save the recording in the state of recording and go back to the main “M”.

9 Content Server

Press “M” to enter the Content Server, list all saved files in the content

server.

1) Select files

Press VOL+/VOL- in the content server or slide “FF/FW” to

select the files or press “REC” to go back to previous “M”.

After selecting the file, press “M” to enter corresponding play interface. If the file can’t be recognized, it

will pop up the dialogue box of “file format not support”.

2) Delete files

Press and hold REC in the selected file, select “confirm” or “cancel” and press “M” to delete.

10 Games

Select GAME in main “M”, Press “M” to enter. The game is Russian block.

Operation method:

1. Begin and pause

Press PLAY to shift between start / pause (PLAY/PAUSE).

2. How to play games

Press “”FF/FW” to move the blocks left and right, press VOL- button to adjust the block direction, press

VOL+ button to go down rapidly, Press “M” to go down directly.

3. Exit

Press and hold “M” to exit the game and go back to main “M”.

11 Setting

Select SETTING in the main “M”; press “M” to enter.

1. Play setting

There are four options (repeat setting, play setting, EQ selection and user EQ

adjustment) in the setting. Press “+/-” or slide “FF/FW” button to select setting option; Press“M” to confirm.

Press +/- to select corresponding setting in the four options; Press “M” to back to previous “M”.

2. Radio setting

There are two options (stereo switch and receiving area) in the setting. Press VOL+/VOL- or slide “FF/FW”

button to select radio setting; Press “M” to enter or. Press VOL+/VOL- in each option or slide “FF/FW” button

to select corresponding setting, Press “M” to confirm.

3. Recording setting

There are two options (recording quality and recording volume) in the setting. Press “VOL+/VOL-“ or slide

“FF/FW” to select setting options.

4. Display setting

There are three items (backlight time, brightness adjustment and backlight display mode) in the setting. Press

“VOL+/VOL-“ or slide “FF/FW” to select setting items.

5 System setting

There are three options: language options, product information and firmware update).

6. auto browse setting

there are two options: file browse, picture browse. Press “VOL+/VOL-“ or slide “FF/FW” to select

corresponding setting and press “M” to enter. Press “VOL+/VOL-” in the option to select corresponding

setting and press “M” to confirm selection.

① file browse

Under the “M”, options are: 1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds, 4 seconds and 5 seconds

② picture browse

Under the “M”, options are: 1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds, 4 seconds and 5 seconds

7. Sleep time

There are six options (power off, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 times, 60 times and 120 minutes) for your

selection. Press “M” to operate. The player would power off in any state in set sleep time.

12 charging

1. charge through the USB

Because PC’s USB output voltage is ±5v , it is recommended to charge 2 hours by PC charging.

2. charge by the charger

When charging with the charger, firstly dial the player power switch to ON, connect to USB wire harness of

charger, MP3 display charging icon at the time, battery icon shows green and stop moving after quantity of

electric charge is full. It is recommended that the charging time shall be not less than one and a half hour. Pay

attention: charging time shall not exceed 6 hours.

14 Firmware update

Enter system settingÆfirmware setting in setting “M”; press “M” to enter, select “OK” and press “M” to

confirm. Prompt “Please insert USB” is indicated and connect USB wire to the PC according to the indication.

The movable disc icon appears in the right bottom of computer and can be updated. Select and operate

firmware update tool Consumer.exe, open the item and select Rock*.rfw, and press “begin record”.

After update, pop out USB, dial the switch to ON and then insert USB again, the system begin to initialize. It

shows online interface after complete the initialization, double click Movable Disk and pop up Formation,

click OK.

15. Video converter tool

1. After the converter tool is installed in PC, run Start >Program >AVI Converter, PC display pop up video

converter window at the time.

2. Click to add converter files.

3. Select 320*240 resolution, select source files, select save target path, select each parameter settings

according to the requirements, click Save after complete the selection.

4. Click Start to convert the files, begin to convert video files; after the conversion, copy the generated AVI

files to MP3 player and you can play video files.

5. If FAILURE prompt appears in the conversion, please make sure that PC has correctly installed Windows

Media Play 9.0 or above version and Windows Direct X9.0 or above version to ensure that computer can

normally play the converted video files.

Note: due to multi compression format of audio and video files and multi coding formats (part of coding

format are not released to public), the video conversion soft attached with this player does not guarantee

correct conversion of all formats of audio and video files. All are subject to actual operation. Meanwhile,

format change may lead to sound and picture insimultaneity when playing AVI files.

Playing duration indication: the playing duration in this manual refers to that the product is operated in allowed

condition: volume is level 20, audio play is standard EQ mode, MP3 music’s bit rate is 128 kbps, backlight is

off and video conversion quality while playing video is medium quality. Due to different operation condition,

actual playing time may be different from the standard playing duration. Sorry for any inconvenience incurred

therefrom.

16. Trouble shooting

1. The player does not display after pressing power on key PLAY.

Failure cause and troubleshooting: Power switch of the player is not ON status or electricity is insufficient.

Please dial power key to ON or charge the player with matched charger. Power on the player normally after it

is fully recharged.

2. Why the computer fails to work normally when plugging and unplugging the player sometimes?

Failure cause and troubleshooting: It is caused by hot swap player during the file transfer. Therefore, we

suggested that the users should not disconnect the connection during the file transfer, so that avoid causing

abnormal operation of the computer and the player.

3. Why the functions of the player fail to work normally when conducting some irregular operations?

Failure cause and troubleshooting: Because the operating software and main chip priority process the normal

operating instructions generally, irregular operation will result in disorganized operation of operating system,

you only need to power off the player, reset and restart the player, and then all the functions will return to

normal state.

4. Why sometimes USB can’t connect to the computer?

Failure cause and troubleshooting: USB connection can’t connect to the computer correctly or USB drive on

the computer main board is not updated to the latest version. Please check whether USB connection is

disconnected; check whether USB drive of computer main board is updated to the latest version.

Note: If the above failure troubleshooting methods can’t solve the abnormal problems for the users, please

contact with local distributors or after-sales service personnel in time.
