Instructions for Model 3200 Automatic Egg Turner and Model 3100 Forced Air Fan Kit
_______________________________________________________________________________________
WARNING: This is an indoor electrical product that requires basic safety precautions to minimize the risk of
electrical shock, personal injury, and product damage. Read all directions and precautions carefully before
putting into operation.
When using electrical products, safety precautions must be followed as described below:
1. Read all instructions.
2. To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT IMMERSE THE PRODUCT IN WATER!
3. Always unplug the product when not in use.
4. Do not use extension cords!
5. Do not use the product if the product has malfunctioned or has been damaged in any manner.
Instruction for use of Model 3200 Automatic Egg Turner:
1. Place the Automatic Egg Turner (AET) in the base of the incubator, aligning the power cord with the
notches on both the top and bottom of the incubator. Place the AET so that it rests flat on the four
corners of the wire mesh screen.
2. Remove stored and sanitized eggs and bring up to room temperature. (NOTE: eggs should be stored in a
cool location between 50-55°F until ready to incubate). Always wash hands with anti-bacterial soap
before handling eggs.
3. Place eggs in turner with the small side of eggs facing down. Do not place goose or other large eggs in
the turner. Place thermometer laying flat on top of the eggs. Do not overload the egg turner as this may
damage the motor and void the warranty.
4. Plug egg turner into GFCI outlet. The turner takes approximately 4 hours to complete full side to side
rotation and may not be visible to naked eye. Continue to use turner until 3 days prior to hatching* (see
hatching time and temperature chart below for common species). Unplug turner, remove from
incubator, and place eggs carefully onto the wire mesh screen.

source can be found at http://msucares.com/poultry/reproductions/
5. To wash the automatic egg turner, unplug the unit, remove from incubator, and place on flat surface.
Disassemble motor by removing the two screws, sliding motor upward, and releasing the plastic lever
from T-bracket of connecting rod. Turn connecting rod so that egg trays are in vertical position. Lift
individual egg trays out. Place egg trays and base in dishwasher. Allow to fully dry prior to reassembly.
To test fertility of eggs during the incubation process, you can use our Model 3300 Egg Candler. Be
sure to wash and sanitize hands prior to removal of eggs for candling.
Instructions for Egg Candling:
1. For white or clear-shelled eggs, candle around the 3
rd
or 4
th
day of incubation and then again around the
14
th
day. For dark-shelled eggs, candle around the 7
th
or 8
th
day of incubation and then again around the
14
th
day.
2. Darken room and remove eggs one at a time. Hold large end of egg against candler light. Look through
side of egg and slowly turn in your hand.
3. If you observe a mass, dark object, or cloudy spot, this means that a live and growing embryo is inside.
You may also see a pinkish color inside the contents of the egg. If the embryo is dead, the egg contents
should appear brown or muddy. Also, if light can pass through the egg completely, then assume egg is
not fertile. Remove it from the incubator as infertile eggs can transmit bacteria affecting the hatch.
4. Repeat with remainder of eggs, not allowing eggs to be outside of the incubator for more than 10-15
minutes.
Instruction for assembly and use of Model 3100 Forced Air Fan Kit:
The Model 3100 Fan Kit is used to convert the 2100 Still Air Incubator into a Circulating Air Incubator.
Circulating the air allows for more even temperature and can result in better hatches.
1. Unplug incubator and place incubator top upside down on a table with the heating element facing you.
2. Using ¼” drill bit, drill out the two scored holes located on the Styrofoam just above the underside of
circular hygrometer.
3. Remove fan kit and hardware kit from bags. Place clear washer onto the screw and insert screw from
top side of incubator through the two drilled out holes.
4. Place fan on inside of incubator with the motor facing up and black wires at the bottom facing the
hygrometer and clear electrical box. Align the screws with the threaded holes in the fan kit and tighten.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
5. Press down on top of the grey quick-connect terminal and hold. Insert end of black wire into hole, then
release tab. Repeat for other wire. Be sure wires are secure.
