1 Remove the housing cover (7) from the reinforced
lock bar and lay it with its inner side centred on the
door leaf so that the distance to the edges of the
door leaf are the same.
Before beginning any assembly work, ensure
that the reinforced lock bar is suitable for the
structural conditions. Order an appropriate
prole double cylinder, if necessary.
To prevent overtightening the retaining
screws, tighten them by hand using an ap-
propriate screwdriver.
Read the assembly manual thoroughly and observe the information contained
during installation. Keep the assembly manual in a safe place for future refer-
ence.

Intended Use
The PR1 reinforced lock bar provides additional protection against unauthorised access to rooms. It is intended for inward opening doors made
of wood, metal and plastic with widths between 800 and 950 mm. The best protective eect can only be achieved when you complete the instal-
lation according to this assembly manual.
A condition for complying with the intended use is that the equipment is installed correctly and the information in the manual is observed and
maintained.
Any other use is considered unintended use. Unauthorised modication or reconstruction not described in this assembly manual are not permit-
ted and could cause the product to be damaged.
■ Various screwdrivers
■ Drill
■ Metal bits: Ø 13.0mm
(also for use with wood)
Ø13.5mm, Ø15.0mm,
Ø18.5mm, Ø10.0mm
■ Masonry bits: Ø 10.0mm,
min. 180mm
■ Hole cutter/saw: Ø 35 mm
■ Spirit level, tape measure
2 Mark the position for the hole for the cylinder and
drill a hole with a diameter of 35 mm in the door
leaf at the required height.
Note: The distance to the centre of the
prole double cylinder is 387 mm.
If the prole double cylinder is already installed, continue with Step 10. Otherwise, assem-
ble the prole double cylinder as follows:
3 Remove the screws and spring washers (19) from the cylinder plate (18).
4 Remove the cylinder plate and remove the plastic insert.
5 Remove the cog wheel (4, 5) from under the cylinder plate.
6 Slide one part (4) of the cog wheel from the left and the other part (5)
from the right on the prole double cylinder. The broader segment
of the cog wheel parts must be against the lock bit (21) of the prole
double cylinder. Both parts, together with the locking catch, produce
an interlocking connection.
7 Insert the prole double cylinder in the cylinder plate (18) and x the
cylinder in place with the screw M5x15(20) and spring washer (23).
8 Slide the toothed rods (2, 3) against the stop so that the bar is in the
position it will be when opened later. The lock bit must run into the
wide recess of the toothed rod.
9 Now t the assembled cylinder with the cylinder plate in the rein-
forced lock bar and screw the plate tight with the screws and spring
washers (19).
You can now x the reinforced lock bar on the door:
10 Position the reinforced lock bar with the assembled prole double
cylinder so that the cylinder is in the hole in the door.
11 Align the bar using the spirit level and mark the two holes to x
the outside escutcheon (16).
12 Drill the holes using a bit with 12 mm Ø.
13 Reassemble the reinforced lock bar, slide the metallic outside
escutcheon (16), or the optionally available protective escutcheon
(SR 100 ZA) (25), on the outside of the door above the lock cylinder
and x the escutcheon using the spring washers and screws
M4x10 (19) (cylinder head).
1 Position the strike plates (13) at the height of the lock in the door
frame or on the wall on both sides.
Tip: When you lock the reinforced lock bar, you can slide the strike plate
over the extended lock bar. This simplies alignment.
2 Mark the holes.
3 Remove the strike plates, unlock the lock, drill the plug holes and
insert the wall dowels (8).
4 Place the necessary number of spacer plates (11, 12) between the wall
and strike plate until the lock bar slides into the strike plate easily and
without any strain. When doing so, pay attention that the "catches" of
the spacer plates engage in the corresponding recesses of the following
spacer plate.
5 Fix the strike plates in place with the screws M6x75 (10).
6 Now drill the holes for the expansion dowels (9). Insert the expansion
dowels and tighten them.
7 Finally, press the covers (14) on the strike plates (13).
