TYPE SHF SOLENOID COILS FOR
HEAT PUMP REVERSING VALVES
DESCRIPTION / APPLICATION
Type SHF solenoid coils are encap sulated, connuous duty, moisture
resistant magnec coils designed to operate the pilot valve controlling
the reversing valve. The SHF is rated UL Thermal Class “A” (105).
APPLICATION
Type SHF solenoid coils are designed for use with Vl -4, V2-4,
V3-4, V6-4, V10-4, Vl2-4 Ranco® Heat Pump Reversing Valves.
FEATURES
• Encapsulated
• Moisture resistant magnec coil is fungus proof
• Class A rang, suitable for operaon at 10% over and 15%
under rated voltage
• Connecon - Quick connect W29 wiring harness
• Designed for low waage - ecient operaon at hot summer
and cold winter ambients
OPERATION
The SHF is designed for 50/60 Hz operaonal at 15% underrated
voltage as well as 10% over rated voltage for short periods.
INSTALLATION
Place the SHF coil over solenoid tube of pilot valve. Install the
coil mounng screw and ghten to a min imum torque of 22.4
inch pounds and a maximum torque of 33.9 inch pounds.
Wiring Harness SHF Plug - align arrow on plug with arrow on coil
and push on unl terminals on coil are fully engaged. Connect
wiring har ness to equipment wiring using wiring nuts and/or
splice connectors. Wiring Harness SHF Plug: Align arrow on plug with
arrow on coil and push on unl terminals on coil are fully engaged.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard - Turn o power at the main power source
before installing the SHF control. DO NOT restore electrical power
to the unit unl the SHF control is properly installed and cover
assembled.
The Ranco® SHF Series Solenoid Coils are designed for use with
CURRENT producon Generaon 5 V0, V1, V2, V3, V6, V10 and
V12 Ranco 4-way Reversing Valves.
The Ranco® LDK Series Solenoid Coils are designed ONLY for use
with Generaon 4 V0, V1, V2, V3, V6, V10 and V12 Ranco 4-way
Reversing Valves.
