Introduction.
®
Thank you for purchasing the Accutone T1 Headset Telephone. T1 is
specifically designed to be used with any standard PSTN telephone
network, replacing your traditional telephone. Allowing direct connection
to any Accutone telephone headset, the T1 provides true handsfree
communication for use in homes, small offices and call centers.
Designed from the same award-winning design-team of Accutone, the T1
combines both functionality and aesthetics. It is perhaps the best looking
headset telephone you can find in any markets. The T1, aside from basic
calling features like flash, redial, pause and microphone mute, it also offers
many added features like multi-status online-indicator, connection to
recording devices as well as a headset hanger.
The T1 Telephone is the best companion to the Accutone telephone
headset series, providing top-end voice communication that is above
industry standards. Please spend some time to study this user manual
before you proceed to the installation, and we are confident that you will

A.3 Connect to an Additional Terminal Extension
For user who requires an extra telephone extension at their terminal,
connect an extra patch cable to the Line Jack of the telephone to the (11)
Extension Telephone Jack located adjacent the (10) Land-line
Connection Jack.
A.2 Connect to Wall Jack
Use the RJ-11 Modular Patch Cable provided to connect the T1 headset
telephone to any standard Telephone Wall Jack. The connection plug to the
Wall Jack maybe different depending on your country or region. Locate the
end of the Patch Cable with the RJ-11 Modular and connect it to the (10)
Land-line Connection Jack at the bottom of the T1 unit.

The T1 Telephone is designed to pair with any series of Accutone
Telephone Headset, TM363VT is shown above.
First, make sure the (QD) Quick Disconnector of the headset and the
bottom cable are firmly connected as shown. Then, connect the RJ-9
Modular Jack of the headset to the (7) Telephone Headset Jack of the T1
Telephone.

done correctly, by making a call using
either the T1 Telephone or the
Extension-Telephone just connected.
Both devices should be able to make

A.5 Connect to Recording Device
T1 is equipped with the function of
voice and call recording. Connect any
audio recording device with a 3.5mm
plug to the (8) Recording Jack
located next to the Telephone
Headset Jack of the T1 Telephone.

B.3 Adjusting Your Speaker and Microphone Volume
While still in your call, you can adjust the incoming volume by using the (16)
Speaker Volume Adjustment Wheel. Turn the dial upward to increase
the speaker volume of your headset.
To adjust the outgoing volume of your microphone, turn the (14)
Microphone Volume Adjustment Wheel upward to increase the
transmission level.

B.2 Making Your First Call
Test your T1 Telephone’s setup by making a phone call to someone. Put on
your headset and make sure it’s connected properly as illustrated in the
previous section. Please make sure you wait 10 seconds after you plug in
your telephone before making your first call.
B.1 Before Making a Call
You will need to make a call to ensure your setup in the previous section is
correct. However, before you proceed to turn on the device, make sure
the two volume control wheels are not selected to the extreme, as high
speaker volume may damage your ear and the unit, and high microphone
volume will cause loud “squealing” feedback-noise.
Press the (1) Online/Offline Button
to turn on the device and get a line.
You should be able to hear a dial-tone
and the (2) LED-Status Indicator
should light up BLUE.
Press the Online/Offline Button again
to end your call.

Make sure you DO NOT over turn
the (14) Microphone Volume
Adjustment Wheel, as this may
cause high pitched squealing noise
as a result of feedback.

B.4 Muting Your Calls
During a call, you can mute your
microphone so that the person on
the other side of the line cannot
hear you. Mute your call by pressing
the (15) Microphone Mute
Switch.
The (2) LED-Status Indicator will
light up RED during mute.

User can redial their previous call by
pressing the (4) Redial Key. Please
note that on some system which
requires dialing “0 or 9” before
making a call may encounter
problems using this redial feature.

C.5 Pause Function
For telephone system or services that
supports memory redial, pressing the
(5) Pause Key will add a 2.2s delay into
the redial sequence. This feature may be
required in some VRU systems.

The T1 Telephone comes
with a handy headset hanger
for hanging the headset
when it’s not being used.
Fix the hanger to the bottom
hooks as illustrated, then
insert the (H) Headset
